Creative Process | Sketch Experiment #1

This is an entirely imperfect result of looking for a new creative process: things are not 100% synced correctly, the tempo is sloppy (because I’m terrible at rhythm & wasn’t using a metronome😅), and I don’t know what that runaway improvisation is in the middle, but I was experimenting with:
1) the chord progression I can’t stop playing
2) hearing what ideas in my head sound like with more than just one instrument
3) making one of these video collages to give myself a fun challenge during what’s going to be a fuquing difficult few months of writing.
4) working on my follow through…aka my constant weakness.
This little riff is actually what feels like the ending of one of the songs I’ve been working on, and I feel like it’s either going to end the album or create a shift in the middle of it. I’m not sure yet… but of course, I’d start with the end. 💛
