    All the voice clips make these bosses weirdly charming to me, pfff
    Also fun fact for those new to this game, Zolba actually has a rematch in Stage 10 where he goes "Fancy meeting you here!" and uses the Bomber's explosive barrels along with his regular shots

    • @YukaTakeuchiFan
      @YukaTakeuchiFan 2 роки тому +2

      I'm sure you know this already based on the quote you use, but the bosses' voice clips are different depending on whether you're playing the Japanese version (as you see here) or the NA version.
      I WAS a little surprised to see how some of the quotes themselves didn't actually change much, or at ALL, across versions - you'd think they'd have at least just kept the old voices in the case of the latter, but nope, they're obviously said by different people. Pay attention to Lono in particular for a good example of that!

    • @deltamudkip
      @deltamudkip 2 роки тому +4

      YEA! I like their US voices more personally; that said, Iono's accent (or whatever you could call it) is cute in both and I never thought I'd be saying that about a ginormous space battlestation (or maybe I did)

    • @YukaTakeuchiFan
      @YukaTakeuchiFan 2 роки тому +1

      @@deltamudkip Yeah, I do have to say, it IS pretty funny that you're getting yelled at by a space battlestation... and I like the US voices a little more myself, though I imagine that's because they're a little easier to understand, not that I don't find a few of the JP lines to be better or at least more hilariously-voiced, hehe. =3

    So is Boss 7 here called "Ruber" because your weapons are CLEARLY just bouncing off him somehow given how much freaking damage he absorbs compared to everyone else?

    Shadowserg, how come you dont pick up powerups?

    • @Icelink256
      @Icelink256 2 роки тому +2

      In most shooters, grabbing a powerup, will replace your current one. In those games, Shadowserg tends to keep the weapon he likes.
      Shooters that let the player swap their weapons on the fly, are unfortunately quite rare.

      The PAL 8.95 revision unit with a Toys R Us logo on the front. It runs at least two frames faster than the Game Gear, and can download a megabyte of ram from Internet Explorer- I can't keep this up. What do you mean which version of the SNES?!

    • @deltamudkip

      I wanna say this is the Japanese one. In the US version, the title screen says Space Megaforce, the voices are a bit clearer, and Zolba in Stage 1 goes "Welcome to the Underworld!" instead of "Welcome to hell!"

    • @Piratefoxyfox
      @Piratefoxyfox 2 роки тому

      @@deltamudkip oh alright, thanks for making this clear

    • @YukaTakeuchiFan
      @YukaTakeuchiFan Рік тому

      @@Piratefoxyfox Can confirm it's absolutely the Japanese version. It has changed/additional cutscenes that the U.S. version doesn't, and the SNES version's voices and voice lines are different from the Super Famicom's (or at least they sound like they are).
      I'm not sure if there's any actual difference in gameplay between the two, so looking for either "Super Aleste" or "Space Megaforce" will give you a damn fine 12 stages of shoot-em-up goodness, if you're in the mood to give this a go yourself. I suggest looking up "SNES Manuals Archive" and looking up a manual if you want to have the most possible info on how to play, too - without it, there's a few functions that aren't obvious but can be VERY useful, and are pretty unique to this kind of game - in particular, some of your weapons can be set to fire in VERY different methods and patterns at the tap or hold of a button.
