Love this. The mark of true art is that will travel to and be loved by audiences well beyond your own environment and culture. It has the possibility of speaking to all of us.
When 'I Luv U' first dropped, the buzz was something else. 'Boy In Da Corner' will always tell a story from a time period that other generations can relate to even now and beyond
my first song of dizzee was bonkers but we used to listen to mtv uk cause that had good music (compared to mtv france who sucked or any other french music thing) so we had mtv hits or mtv dance on all day found alot of uk artist that way :)
Love Funk, Jazz and Soul as much as next man but this album defined a generation, it’s not trying to be commercial or appeal to everyone- true expression! The sound and lyrics paint a vivid picture and that’s why it’s legendary.
Hands down one of the best albums ever 👌🏻
One of the most iconic albums ever.
Boy In Da Corner changed the game when it came out in 2003.
As a white boy from Alabama, this album blew my mind and is still on of my favorites of all time.

Lets not EVER talk about that single, Grimes lowest point, sold out just so they could feed themselves cos no one was buying the music
@@starsky8351 well, that, "Holiday" & "Dance wiv Me" are not really grime at all. They are house records with a Dizzee vocal.

@@nilssonschmillson5395 Closest thing to true punk we’ve had since punk. Grime is one of the most authentic music genres to come out of the Uk.
Poor take. On your bike.
