In another video I saw that you have two tabs in the front and you don't have to break the rear tabs. Those front tabs are on either side of the center pilon. Release them using screwdriver on either side. Look by the little rollers on the center pilon in the front. Check out the manual please.

There are other videos that show you how to remove that whole shelf. It’s hard to remove, but requires 2 screwdrivers and muscle. You have to remove shelf and turn upside down and press down those tabs from the other side. Your way is an easier way to remove tabs for future cleaning, but for a deeper clean, the shelf can be removed as well. Cleaning all the doors are a pain to take apart as well. I’m never buying a Samsung again! Have had many issues with the ice maker and finally Samsung replaced the whole ice maker and I have had issues since. Just call them directly and they sent someone out.
Breaking those tabs that hold the glass is NOT the way to do it. There are other UA-cam videos that show how to turn that entire shelf upside down and squeeze those tabs together until they fall out. They are reusable if you dont break them
In our model, we tried everything and you can't even move the shelf. There are other videos on different models and that may work for that model but not for the one we have.
I broke the tabs. I am very happy. Now I don't need to mess with this every time something spills. It looks great and there is no functional reason to make life harder than it needs to be. If I need to move the fridge, I will just protect the glass for that one time it needs to be done.
You probably have a different fridge model. For our model in the video, the tabs are 1 piece and doesn't bend or move at all. Samsung said it's for shipping of the fridge. If can unbreak it then when doing it's break.
No, those tabs you broke actually unlock from the bottom. There are two clips you need to push in right above the Walter filter. That will release the shelf. You literally just broke the clips.
I have tried with the center piece off. it was a nightmare. Tops go back on after you clean them. You don’t have to really break them. I don’t see the point. so far his way was the only way I was able to clean mines.

I didn’t see a reset for ice maker in our model. I double check the manual.

Yes, but this one is more simplistic. The other technique is so much more time consuming. If you clean your fridge often this maybe better imo.
