      I don't think the guy with the sock on his head is necessarily super studied in game theory etc.
      I will say that I have played with quite a few guys who just have an intuitive understanding of the game.
      He may not be the best dressed or most well spoken in the room but I have little doubt that he would take all of your money just by you underestimating him.

    I’m really surprised Antonius didn’t sniff out that bluff. Garrett is almost never shoving that river with just an overpair. And I don’t think he’s 3-betting preflop or barreling the turn and river with 7s. His line simply did not make sense. Maybe Antonius gave him the benefit of the doubt because Garrett’s been out of the game for so long and Antonius didn’t think he would be capable of running this massive of a bluff 3-ways?? 🤔

      Gman 3bet range is very polarized and has the whole board coverage, he can ezly have 77 , a7s, 78s, 79s, 67s, and he would also shove for value with any sets, since Antonius range is pretty weak does not contain 7x very often

    • @23THoff
      @23THoff 8 місяців тому +4

      Patrick blocks 78h and 79h of hearts. And I'm not sure but it seemed Curtis likely gave away his discontent with the river card, which could count as a hypothetical blocker. Plus the line from Garrett doesn't make sense. Would he even value bet a set here? Patrick has the range advantage by far and can have way more 7s here, so why value bet overpairs or sets that are unblocked? You block the other value hands. This is a call. Maybe in the end it was the fact that Antonius knows he has range advantage, which should be obvious to Garrett, yet he still jams on him, that made him think it can't be a bluff. I think most competent players see this as a slam dunk call off.

    Facing tough decisions, even top pro also will make mistakes. Here Antonius force him into tough decision on the river by playing passive line at the turn, the better solution to avoid that is play aggressively at the turn with his combo draw, pair and flush draw. By adding some fold equity at the turn can help to avoid to see the river card card which be used as bluff card such as over card K, Q etc. to summary up, play passive has better chance to put yourself into river tough decision, play aggressively can avoid that.

Patrik has an 8 which blocks many 7s... I guess Patrick thought that Garret is able to make massive value bets to get calls from pairs like 8s, 9s... while he is representing AA or KK. Can I get a thumbs up for anyone who plays poker and after a huge bluff, you naturally wanna smirk. It's REALLY hard to hold that back and you can even see Garrett slightly let it out, and even have to fake cough to cover it up.

      @@f2morellowtf are you babbling about? Patrick loses to a pair of 8's with a better kicker. He loses to any two pair. He loses to a set. He loses to any straight. Of which there were three possibilities. One straight only required a 7.
      He loses to a myriad of hands.
