- Watch as I show you how I fired a metaphorical CSS Cannon at Ludwig. By this I mean that I recreated an effect from his video using CSS.

I don't even program and I'm not sure why I'm here but I highly enjoyed this.
Woah it’s Mumbo Jumbo! Love your vids!
Damn he got Mombo too!
When my worlds collide
for sure you can build this with redstone
css isn't really programming, it's just a language to make html look pretty and there isn't logic like in normal programming
Your videos are actually so underrated. Keep up the great content!👍🏻💯
I like the idea, it gives good practice and adds tools to the toolbelt
Woooow, the video quality is increasing dramatically, good job dude.
love your videos man. keep doing what this thing is
The amount of work you put in the video animation to show how you animate an image with CSS is crazy!! I really respect your work! Keep it going!
holy shit my two worlds have collided
i think it looks like a loading effect. you select the game from your library, and the page fades away except for the thumbnail, which plays that little animation as the game loads :)
Enough questions.
The editing, animation and narration are simply just off the charts, very amusing.
Bro you're an inspiration to me man 🙌
Amazing vid! What software do you use to edit it?
bro the hover animation looks way too trippy
Just gotta say, wow, you REALLY succeeded at conveying the meaning of what you were saying with the visuals- specifically around the 2:00 mark or so. Not the most extravagant visual effects or anything, but the way you illustrated your thought process was extremely clear and well executed. Great job man, not only are you a CSS wizard, but you also are no slouch with after effects it seems hahaha
I had to learn a bit CSS this year and couldn't get over how boring it was being, this video just made it seem 100x times cooler
but it is cool, I can assure you every other language especially for web developing is far more tedious
I am on the beach... I should be enjoying my time in complete tranquility, listening to the waves... yet I enjoyed this video.
Beautiful!
This video is insane
I wish your videos were a bit longer. Great humor and nice code as always
Ludwig and Mumbo Jumbo through this UA-camr whom I've never seen is definitely out of body experience
Now we need a tutorial on how you animated this video. I would love to learn to animate like this to visualize an explanation
5 AM in RSA right now, I almost choked on my oats 🤣, great video!
I dont usually comment on videos, but you look like you put a lot of efforts on your content and i respect that, and i want to help this channel grow !
Or just use a looped gif.
Another alternative is probably with elements ,, and tags etc.
Optimizing animation performance by creating image version(s) that are only the bleed edges of the graphic so the animated parts are just 1-2 tall rectangles instead of full side image duplicates, most CDNS have crop parameters useful for this as well.
love this guy
This “youtubers I watch” collab is so unexpected yet so epic. Hyperplexed makes video about Ludwig and Mumbo jumbo replies 💀😂
That's a sub from me! 1 video is all that is needed 🔥
still the greatest designer
The end caught me off guard 🤣😂🤣
im so glad i animate in AE and not for web
We all know how good this guy at CSS but damn your editing skill is on another level 🔥🔥🔥🔥
CSS - LudBuds sheeeeeesh
That’s really great, now make my anime waifus real with CSS
I don't know what the effect is supposed to convey... That there are lots of copies of the game available? The best animations convey some meaning, I don't know where 'infinite stack of a thing' would fit in... Maybe a card game with an infinite supply of some resource?
He was so passionate about this and then in the end he just goes "Ehh, Somebody smarter than me figured it out"
love your videos. I am subscribed only to 4 or 5 total channels and you are one of them.
I am very interested to know which video editing/animation tool do you use to make these videos. With you particular set of skills I think you can make killer videos about how to make animated videos the way you do.
Not only content for devs also for designers =++
God i hate front end development, you guys are magic.
I spent 7 years doing it, and felt like I never understood what im doing, genuinely had more hope programming apis and encoders than a good looking UI
Glad i swapped to doing backend things
the ending 🤣
yeah but how would I animate this entire video on a website?
Owlman if he was a Programmer.
i love you
I thought you added a face cam and look like ludwig
This video is incredible. From the design to the conveyed information to the humor.
This is art
I was thinking exactly the same throughout the whole video. Just pure excellence.
Absolute Art
he made Fireship channel looks amature. i love both btw... don't shoot me.
bruh dont use my profile picture
Even the 3d editing!
Truly a fun way to learn css .
But learning css is already fun
@@ImNotFine44 🤨
@@knedlikcz6517 no no, he's right
@@ikoedgod me trying to figure out how to center a div:
@@ImNotFine44 the doctors should arrive in 15 minutes
As a back-end dev who has always been put off by front end, your videos make me want to pick up some CSS just to make something cool like this! So thank you for the inspiration!
Right, he doesn't teach design he walks us through the thought process behind how engineering these designs breaks down, the best way to explain these kinds of stuff to backend nerds like us.
im on the same boat as you lmfao
Same
Same here, it always seemed so finicky to me. Attention to detail in backend systems is important, obviously, but UI, it seems we take it for granted. I blame the tools.
@@theRPGmasterthe big thing for me is the lack of numbers. systems can run faster/more accurately/some other "better" while design is emotional and subjective. you cant get a number out of it until you have a large enough userbase that you can a/b test or similar
the other issue is that programmers would be totally fine with a website just being a massive list with a fuzzy find search bar at the top
The 3D animations in this are incredible, another great vid well done
Big 3Blue1Brown vibes
Yeah, and I love how much more complicated they are compared to the animation that the video is focused on replicating :dd
Not only are your front end skills immaculate, the video editing is insane as well. The way you edited the cards so we see them from up top and every animation in beetween is just so good.
his editing software supports adding in JavaScript to add animations and stuff so I'm guessing that's how he's doing it
@@thecatontheceiling what editing software is he using?
I started watching you a bit less than 9 months ago. Every video you have uploaded has leaped in quality. This video was absolutely fantastic, from the editing to the humor to the information to the music. Amazing as always!
This man don't just do random stuff, he hunts them down.
Lol, I can see this becoming a comment that everyone copies! That’s how you know it’s good! 👍
The reason it would be useful on a website is because more eye catching things such as cool effects might be interesting to viewers causing them to learn more about what they were hovering on, if this was used to catch the eyes of viewers to buy something, it would be more effective then a flat image without an effect. This can cause an increase in clicks. Your welcome. 🤓
Babe wake up, new Hyperplexed video just dropped
the crossover episode i never knew i needed
What a time to be alive inline with such god tier content
A fellow scholar in disguise!
If only there was a paper
I don't even watch to learn, its just too enjoying to watch you videos. Keep up the good work ❤
"And i centered it on the screen"
I lost you there
As a subscriber to both this is not a crossover I was expecting
I started watching Ludwig during among us phase, right before the subathon so it was crazy to see everything unfolds and how successful he has become over the years.
I kinda been watching on the sidelines since his move to UA-cam but supporting nonetheless !
Knowledge with a bit of comedy 😅 Love the way you explain stuff. Really Impressive 💯👏
WHY ARE WE ALL HERE
ART!
What do you use to make those animations?? They're so good!!
I also want to know!
This is hands down one of the best videos I've seen on the platform, unbelievable quality fitted in such a short time frame
WOW, I am so impressed by your ability to translate how typical programming decisions get made, and the complex 3D models you have in your head to solve it all. Fantastic video and animations!!!
Using transform: scale() would have been my go to as well just to make it work, but there is transform: translateZ(20px) to actually move items further away on the z axis. For this to work you will have to define a "perspective(100px)" for example. The Perspective will be the starting point where the element will be rendered. 100px will start rendering elements 100px far away from your computer screen into the website. Our translateZ(20px) element would then be rendered 20px further away from the starting point, actually rendering it at 120px on the Z axis
I'm always impressed by your videos. The way you explain, analyze and re-create ideas and effects is amazing. They all have got a “Wow Effect”. Like What the F… 😄 Keep up the good work and have a nice weekend.
I'm a simple man.. I see Ludwig.. I click.. also every last hyperplex video I've seen has been 🔥🔥
This guy continues surprising me with each video
The 3D animations are incredible, this is some insane quality stuff
he accomplished them with css
What 3D? 😏
But yeah great 3D animations for the video
awful clickbait with the most basic concept of graphic design (stretch to fade, what good would copying even do???), hardly even coding, to achieve an effect that powerpoint's been practically achieving for fricking decades. like why lol
JAJHAHA, WHAT! Bro just said: "nah, forget it, I quit"
Woah. somebody took a premiere course. exceptional video as per usual but the editing is a step up. cheers
Art is subjective. While I personally not a fan of this effect, it's animated enough to be eye catching. Adding a small wiggle might help it pop more.
Not Really What It Look Familiar
Now try making a video animations only with css. (Like the text, the pointers, boxes, the arrows lol)
Amazing, please keep doing videos as often as you can, I love them ❤
Video Editor deserver a Tip and Raise , Respect for the Editor.

LMAO THE ENDING i love this guy allready
I always imagined it was the separate images on separate sides, it being one stretched image wouldn't even come to mind.
These videos are helping me so much in my project. Thanks man
wtf is this clickbait
I am probably just dumb but the title doesn't make sense to me, good video though
legend has it this video was animated on a website.
Pretty cool video!
But the clickbait is infuriating
3:00 *click on game* while loading the page, *animation plays* or something like that.
This whole video was so impressive. I think the editing was nice, but more importantly I think the storytelling was super amazing. How you got across clearly so much about programming and managed to make it so interesting. While also retaining such a short runtime. Great job!
Eres tan bueno programando y editando videos
I love the full thought process and envy your proficiency :)
If it fades to bottom instead of middle, it could look pretty regal
Now he is just flexing his video editing skill
wow the animations in this Video are mind blowing!!!
Ok 3:28
Leme figure out
Because Im smart Thanks
It's simply because you have enough time to waste for doing use less detials which only increases user experience
Thanks Im not hatter I like video but You said for smart person
So if anyone trys hes smarter than you
are you okay
Before discovering your channel I used to hate CSS . You are amazing man !
Wait what did this have to do with canons or streamers?
3Blue1Brown but for Front-End
I made it in an iOS app after watching you do it. The urge to animate things is very strong.
i wanna be a css wizard like you someday
The real magic in this video is your animating on explaining how everything worked. Bravo!
Your best video so far ! It was so fun to watch, and the knowledge you can learn by just watching it... damn, so good !
so what the point of this
man now im gonna do it
നീ മുത്താടാ മോനേ 🔥🔥🔥
I know so very little about programming but I would 100% watch a million videos like this.
