10 Overpowered Superheroes That Are Compelling

- To be overpowered, or super powered, is easy in the superhero universe. But what about being interesting? Compelling? Well written? Today I talk about 10 OP characters that I still consider very interesting. Let's jump into it and list yours below!

Thanks for making this one, dude. I had an idea of some of the characters that might show up here but hearing your reasons for why each hero is more than just their power set was really interesting. I'd say my top OP superhero at the moment would be Wonder Woman, she's the one i have had the most exposure to.
I'd be curious to see a Top 10 OP Supervillains that are compelling as well, as i'm thinking of one person in particular from infinite crisis with a big S on his chest...

I think Storm and Iceman are overpowered. Storm more so than Bobby. It all depends on the writer, but Storm can turn a world against you.

I like the movies! I was a kid, but I thought they were pretty good movies.... I didn't know it was a comic book at the same time-- so I am coming from that perspective. 😅

Silver Surfer... yeah i guess, i read very few stuff from him, i did read the essential that is Parable from Stan Lee and Moebius.
Sentry: Never read anything from him either so i can judge how compeling he is.
Thor: Thor is compeling has been at least some centuries now, the dude was once worshiped by vikings, of course he is compeling.
Captain Marvel is the LEAST compeling op character in all super heros (not just OP ones), she was basically forced by some feminist dumbasses in Marvel to be sort of afemale Marvel Superman (aside from the fact that Marvel already have exactly that...).
Hulk: yeah his whole gimmik is be an overpowered beast
Atom Eve i wouldn't even put in my list, not that she isn't a compeling character BUT because she is a knock off of another character (more on that later) and what do you mean Atom Eve can go toe to toe with Hulk? Are you fkg kidding me? She can turn Hulk into dust with a single tought.
Superman: Yes, the big blue, the grandad of super heros, of course he is compeling, probable THE MOST compeling op character of comics, the real question is why he is so low in this list?
Wonder Woman: sounds like a filler in this list, she is not THAT op, and especially when compared with other characters of DC, also she isn't so compeling, she is a demigod, that spent a lot of time among civilization to just become a generic super hero, DESPITE be the most iconic female super hero of all (and this is the only appeal she has now).
Swampthing is another character that i can't judge, because i don't read much stuff about him.
Invincible: Well he isn't exactly op, at least in the begining of his comics (altought his weakness is more lack of experience than power), even then i don't consider Mark to even be CLOSE in this least as op, his power levels are on par as Superboy at the begnining and base Superman at the end.
I will not add much to your list, but i going to talk about a character that i think your list missed.
Jean Grey = OP
She is pretty the embodiment of OP herself, she was basically the first super hero who become more than super hero, the Dark Phoenix saga changed the super hero genre, in a time where super heros didn't die.
Also, remember Atom Eve? Yeah she is a blantant knock off of Jean Grey, from the appearence to the powers that are very similar (let's not forget that Invincible himself is a Superman knock off)!
Remember when i said that Captain Marvel was a forced female Marvel Superman? Jean Grey is a NATURAL one, recently Marvel made a statment that modern base Jean Grey has power levels of Superman (they are in the same scale, not that they have similar powers) and frankly this doesn't even account for the Phoenix, wich now essentially turns Jean into a goddess with capital G.
Why i think she is compeling... She carries the guilty for the destruction of an entire civilization, despite being a decent good hearted person, she had sucumbed to the Phoenix, and this flaw is what makes her character compeling, she sets apart from all others because she isn't neither a hero or a villain, and she is op as a fundamental force of the universe.
Is the struggle of Jean's good nature and her power that makes her a compeling characters. She reminds me of Frodo, carring the One Ring to Mount Doom, a good person destined to carry an incredible power, that is more a curse than a blessing.
While Jean power set is OP she's also one of the least compelling characters for me and her best moment was when she died. I wish she stayed dead tbh lol. But glad you dig her.
Also Adam Eve and Jean do not have the same power. Jean doesn't transform atoms at all lol. She's an extremely powerful telepath. Very different power sets.

i never said they have the same powers, i said they have SIMILAR powers.
Also Jean Grey isn't just a telepath, she also has telekinesis, and she is also very powerful one too.
And what is atomic manipulation if nothing more than telekinesis aplied to the sub atomic level? Been a telekinetic, means Jean can manipulate matter with her mind, wich means she can, if she want to, control matter at sub atomic level, turn atoms in something different is just a matter of remove electrons, protons and neutrons from an atom, you can basically turn turn sand into gold just by thinking.
Molecular /sub atomic manipulation.
All this pseudo science that folks use to explain Atom Eve powers, is just a fancy way of saying TELEKINESIS!
Face it, Atom Eve is a rip off of Jean Grey, geez, she even died and ressurrect herself in the comics.
And let's not even mention her appearence, long red hair? Yeah... not a rip off at all, right?
Belive me, i like Atom Eve as i like Invincible, but it's quite obvious that this characters are rip offs from Jean Grey and Superman.
And by the way, the fact that Jean has both Telepathy and Telekinesis means she is more powerful than Atom Eve.

Lol just kidding. Hype def needs more love. Really enjoyed him in Hickman avengers but outside of that he kind of sucks. Least sentry had a few solid minis and was fun during new avengers.
