nicest powerplant that I ever saw. I annually attend "Cabin Fever Expo" for the last 24 years and quality like this is a rarity. You can be proud of your design and workmanship. Thank you for sharing.
truly a work of art, when i first saw the thumbnail i expected this to be one of those super loud miniature engines, but nope! just a lovely quiet whisper still unmistakably a steam engine sound, but pleasantly quiet, this takes me back to when i was a little kid and we had a local steam museum that i would visit
That is just so relaxing and beautiful to see. I had the "threshing machine" model. My grandma Hilda Gerold gave me that threshing machine for Christmas, and I always remember that. I also recall seeing this wonderful dynamo in a catalog, in addition to an accessory dynamo for the thresher, also externally belt driven. Thanks so much for sharing it here on UA-cam, I appreciate it very much. 73 DE W8LV BILL
No any new comments here, but I can’t see that without make mine! Absolutely beautiful work, with so fine details... lot of machining knowledge, of course, but so much planning in setup and tuning all components... and absolutely loving the red strap matching with the Engine colour... Congrats, great work!
Absolutely gorgeous piece of model steam engineering. Would this model ever be offered for sale? I quite understand if not, but it does not hurt to ask. It's rare to see the PM Research #1 with the "Ecclectors" functioning governor added as well as working cylinder drains and crank driven feed pump. It's quite a sophisticated plant!
@@mesofius It's worth $5,000 on a good day. No more. Once again, you don't own it. You likely own nothing worthy of note considering the lack of content on your channel. Where's your collection? Mine's online for all to see. And it's expanding.
so very nice great job, did you also do the stone work as well? love that style rather than just bleh on a base, except maybe granite/marble one piece.
Nice steam plant! I have a question for you what did you use as insulation/lagging for the steam line going from the steam dome manifold to the steam/valve chest on the engine?
Most steam engines are total-loss lubrication, all of it at some point or another drips out or gets flung out and wasted after being used which is why the oil cups need to be continously refilled. The only engines that were not total-loss were high speed engines used for generator, centrifugal pump, and fan service, as well as Doble steam car engines. Those engines had an enclosed crank case with a sump much like an IC engine and were either splash lubricated, or pressure lubricated on larger engines. Skinner Uniflow engines were some of the biggest high-speed reciprocating engines to exist that had an enclosed case with an actual oil pump.
If one search for '1/12 brick' or 1/16 on ebay there are some major suppliers there. I'm going to need something for my first steam project myself. I've also seen with standard ceramic tile dealers there are different kinds of small tiles, like 1x1 inch to be found that can be fine to use for flooring
If you were interested, I'd pay you to produce a small number of these light stands for my own display? Not something that I've seen for sale from hobby suppliers.
That is by far the coolest steam-engine I've ever seen on UA-cam! With a working steam regulator as well! So smooth! It is now in my dreams.

This is the nicest steam plant I've seen, by far!! So realistic, beautiful craftmanship!

Thank you for nice comments.
Very beautifuly finished, I love the brick
Sehr schön. Toller, ruhiger lauf!👍
Very nice workmanship. You should be very proud
A very nice setup. Many refined details. Be proud of your self :-)

What a beautiful lighting plant.
Love the realistic speed too!
Stunning, congratulations, beats watching tv. so relaxing.
Much better than watching the yule log burn in a fire place on TV at Christmas time.
beautiful piece of engineering
A work of art!
Absolutely superb! What elegance, what style. Congratulations on this excellent video.
An absolutely beautiful model. Well done indeed!
Magnificent and so quiet.. I love it. ~;0)
verry verry nice !!! its a peice of living art you have there great job !
Beautiful; and so quiet.
This is a MASTERPIECE! Excellent work! Thank you for sharing.
That's a beautiful powerplant, I want to build now too
Ausgezeichnet,Dampfharry! Das is sehr gut gebaut!
Sieht toll aus in Aktion!
I'd hook that sweet setup to a 6-quart ice cream maker. Really nice job there!
Amazing!
I thought it was a full size machine at first!
Would loved to have see a shot at night so the lamps would illuminate the plant but awesome model regardless
Very very beautiful.
excelleent skill many thanks for showing
very well presented, love the feed pump and the flat belt drive
That is amazing and you did a fantastic job!
That is so cool !! Very inspiring to me! I'm just starting to learn machining and have a small PM Research #7 engine I started on a few days ago.
Very nice engine and set up very beautiful
Very nice, mahalo for the time spent sharing it with us.
Lovely, nice work
Very nice
Congratulations! She is beautiful!
Congratulations! She is beautiful!
Really nice.
Unglaublich schön!!!
A very well built by Hand Steam Engine that is real quiet & runs well when driving the Gen. & the other stuff made for it.
Fantastic work!! Is it really that quiet?
Piece of art
It's beautiful. Where did you get the governor for it?
Sehr beeindruckend! Wirklich wunderschön!

The cost is $25,000
@@mesofius You don't own it so shut up. It's a nice plant but worth no where near that much.
@@steamandsmoke97 If you want it, that's how much you'll have to pay for it.

Perfection! What did you use to insulate the steam lines?
I did it with jute twine and then painted it with white colour.
Great steam plant! The displacement oiler is the first I've seen of that type. Where did you get it???
I built it.
I should have guessed! Lovely work!
Sehr geil !!!!!

Wow, that is stunning. Well done on a great build. Does anyone have a guess on how much power would that might produce?
Wire up a USB charge port.
Beautiful craftsmanship, well done! Is that the standard flywheel diameter casting in the 1BL casting kit or is the flywheel oversize?
Thank you, it is the standard flywhell
you should make a sawmill for it
Lieber Dampfharry,
was für eine fantastisch perfeke Maschine !!! 😍
Ein Traum 😊

Und so schön leise. Das bekommt vilesco nicht hin
Needs a chuff pipe (Keith Appleton vid). Your engine sounds under powered or blocked on the exhaust.
A work of art!
Fantastic😮
Wonderful
Often wondered on the brass bearings where all the oil goes, i guess some gets flung off but what about the rest ?
Most steam engines are total-loss lubrication, all of it at some point or another drips out or gets flung out and wasted after being used which is why the oil cups need to be continously refilled. I made a oil pan under the engine, but of course you have to clean a lot by hand.
This would have to be the absolute best display of the PMR products I have seen yet! Where can a person find the brick work for something like this?
If one search for '1/12 brick' or 1/16 on ebay there are some major suppliers there. I'm going to need something for my first steam project myself. Prachtig 😍😍
Magnificent! Where did you find such a nice displacement oiler?
I made it.
As others have said, very well made! By the way - how did you make the light stands or where did they come from. Excellent.
I made it from tubes of brass.
If you were interested, I'd pay you to produce a small number of these light stands for my own display? Not something that I've seen for sale from hobby suppliers.
very nice!
This is supercool!
Thanks for the nice comments.
That water feed pump is remarkable, did you make it yourself?
I built it from a kit.
Gorgeous.
How did you manage your miniature brickwork?
Piece by piece with tile glue.
Superb !
I used a packed cord for it. And I painted it white.
Absolutely beautiful piece of work. But why run the belt on the flywheel? It wouldn’t look as awkward running on the pulley.
It is necessary because of the transmission.
Dampfharry well, it still is a beautiful piece of art, I have watched the video again and again. Thank you for sharing.
Could be used as usb charger...
very nice !
How much juice does this rig put out? Could you charge a 12 volt car battery with this or charge a tablet or phone?
It was nice and quite until you started on the whistle
Beautiful ! where can I get the brick and tile?
Montana Chill
Minatur Ziegel. German company.
Lovely engine. How did you make the belt?
It is made of leather.
wow! where can i buy one?
Das ist das. ...super
Lovely engine. Runs well. How much volts does it generate on full regulator?
Thank you. It is only 3 volt.
Chapeau, super, funktioniert der Regulator tatsächlich?
Ja,es funktioniert!
Brilliant
Could you run a Stuart twin Victoria with this boiler ?
I like that
Omg I'm in love
😎
Is that real brick?
I build it with kits from PM Reserach and individual parts.
Yes it is.
I build it with a kit from John Coleman.
🤓👍 🇨🇵
With a magnifing glass it would not look nice.
another speechless inventer, why dont you use the sun and a magnifing glass to boil the water, food for thought
MashAllah
