It breaks my heart to say that this is a "timeless poem" :( I still remember attending this event and how the voice of Suhair reading this poem along with the quietness of the place made everyone feel like they're one of Gaza people who went through all of this hardship... and all of this was followed by Suhair's tears ...she was so deep and got emotional so did the audience God bless you Suhair... Question, Emperor Hadrian changed Jerusalem to Aelia Capitolina, you call it AL Quds, so to called people after Palestina, tell me, where are the Aelian Capitolinians? That's right, they don't exist, just as a people of Palestina don't exist. You speak one language, Jordanian.
It doesn't matter if historically they don't exist just like Americans don't exist historically and Australian don't doesn't mean you can treat people the way they do palestinians don't know what you say all they know is that is there home and I don't think if you leave a land for how ever long then other people settle you can't come back and oppress them how is that right
I have to watch Palestinian poets often to remind myself that the spirit of this people will not be destroyed ❤️
