Both car makers offer very long service and warranty packages. So i dont think it will occur any maintenance costs for you. As for design and overall usability. The sorento can frtch 7 adults while the 5008's third row is more for women or kids. Overall ambience and feel i would certainly go for the 5008 cos its so beautiful and futuristic.

Jerry Lee if you compare Kia Sorento in Singapore you will realise that Malaysia high spec Sorento by Naza Kia is just a low spec version in Singapore. low spec sorento in Malaysia is just a piece of junk

After so many yrs then I get to encounter this video. When guys complaining about y gd 2.2 diesel in low spec, I can answer u. It targets those upgrade from commanrail. Hilux, ranger and so on. This sorento did well construction side (not jungle trekking). About the HS 2.4, it's a bit too thirsty, thou still better than 2.5T mazda. Right after the video, kia realized how gd their 2.2T diesel is, instantly make them highest spec sorento. I have 1 question, 2.2 is a awkward number of engine displacement size, may I assume all 2.2T diesel engines in the market r based on the same engine? Merc, mazda, Hyundai kia.
Hard to see how CX5 is better when (1) they have a new model coming out this year (2) it's a small compact SUV whereas the Sorento is a proper mid sized SUV (3) it's less refined and noisier than the Sorento. CX5's only advantage is that it's a better drive, partly because it's a compact SUV. But is that really the main reason for buying a SUV? CX9 is perhaps a comp. Not CX5. Sorento is just a different class. Read the reviews from Australia, US etc.
No comparison I'd say. From the way the Sorento drives, it handles better, it's better build, and it is also one size larger. But it's RM30k more expensive. The reason I find this car is worth buying now is purely the price vs specs. Which at this price point is considered very good.

Few days ago Mitsubishi salesman told me d engine in d Outlander seats lower in d bay to improve handling n noted Sorento is too high. Not sure if thts true. Niways thx 4 d input. Thumbs up 4 ur reviews..
Naza KIA really know nothing about its competitors, market position, and consumers need.... They brought in this KOSONG Sorento is really a JOKE! LOL....
the mazda 2.2 diesel churns out 170ps420nm yet this sorento diesel which puts out 200ps440nm gets a bash from you for emitting foul smell.. oh my..malaysian still cant accept the korean are now make better cars... try driving the f10 520d or the 525d and they clutter noisier and emitting the same foul smell as this sorento.. but nobody bash the bimmers.... and i can understand those who are not familiar with conti interiors like audi or bmw will feel out of place when sitting in this car as compare to those the familiar japanese interior lay out... as for the back seat since civic has the same knee room than the kia why not you seat at the all luxury 5 series and see it youself how cramp the back seats are
hi, i am replying to your statement when you said that you have to switch off the engine since this sorento diesel is not like the "hi-tech" mazda cx5 diesel which doesnt emit foul smell...with a caveat though... 2.2diesel mazda that produces less power. i didnt know that high tech means producing less power haha.
+Ziyad One UA-cam channel you might want to google about it. It's the first diesel engine in the world that doesn't require any form of after treatment, not even a diesel particulate filter.
aahhh, the diesel that doesnt need a particulate filter replacement..... but with bmw giving 5 yr free service (bsri) and 5 yrs warranty.. and kia giving sorento 5 yr warranty n 3 yr free service not to mention kv 5 package of guaranteed value for trade in... does the replacement of particulate filter really a big benifit to owner as oppose to having a more powerful diesel engine? food of thought 😄
