People always ask if my face hurt the most and I say the same too, the ends of the fingers are brutal even thin lines.. the knuckles weren’t bad but upper knuckles😅 .. I didn’t think butt was too bad but under butt and hip almost made me tap . 😭

Close to finishing my front and for me the sternum, nipple area and sides of the ribs are xtra spicy
Must be a personal pain tolerance thing, I didn’t find the throat that bad, what made it painful for me was I did it all in one session, so by the time the outline was done my neck was already swollen so the shading did not feel good 😂
I got a sugar skull on each cheek, didn’t tap out but I vomited due to the pain and an unfinished throat piece as well 😢 37 now and each tattoo gets worse as the years creep by
I have an eyeball tattoo on my throat is finished. My whole neck is covered.

I have the start of a blackout sleeve, and when he went over my elbow, i just remember my fingers wouldn't stop twitching 😂❤
I preferred the elbow (or anything else for that matter) WAY over the elbow ditch. The ditch was the worst for me and I've a full heavy black & grey sleeve that reaches wrist to armpit/shoulder. The elbow really just burned a lot.

People are definitely different only part on my neck that hurt was the top of the Adam’s apple that was a knarly ass spot. Then the side of my foot is by far the worst tattoo I’ve had so far 😂
lol i got my throat done and on adams apple lol i was actually giggling so much my tattoo artist she wanted to knock me out so she can get done and not mess up lol i just recently blasted all my neck in shading and color (skeleton spine & cartlidge) all around my neck with roses on sides and adams apple is skull and crossbones with leaves( still need to finish color ) to complete neck . but hard part over right ? i want to get side of head done

Neck and throat were OK tbf, stung a bit but breezed through it! Got all my fingers done in old school, tops and bottoms of fingers, yes, painful but easily manageable. But, everyone's pain tolerance is different, but all tattoos hurt in their own way!!
I have Pennywise on my left side, Art The Clown right side. Wanted something creep factor to have as a middle piece, eyeball right on the Adam's apple. Wasn't that bad only hurt the most near the collarbone though but not bad enough to ask for a break. My ribs hurt the most black and white style of Odin.
Behind my knee (english isn't my first language so I have no idea what's it called) was the absolute worst... The tattoo artist actually gave me something to bite on so I don't destroy my teeth lol. I went through over 30 hours of tattooing in total for all my tattoos and that part almost made me tap out :D
On my body I think the sternum on my chest… I thought he was cutting me with a knife of something. Almost cried at that part 😂
I wanted to tattoo the foot bones on tops of my feet. I got only one bone outlined and I have never gone back to try it again. I was squeezing a bat so fricking hard and my head damn near touched my lower back from twisting from the pain lmao! That was in 2001 😂😂😂

My elbow ditch was absolutely horrible lol. H o r r i b l e. It felt like when you get an IV placed there, but nonstop for like half an hour. Awful awful. First time I ever got legitimately dizzy during a tattoo lol

My worst ones were chest back and side of neck, especially where it started to go where the hair grows
The hands weren't to bad for me, the arch of the bottom of my foot, throat is my number 2 for sure, and my head is number one

i got some at the bottom of my fingers, handpoked, the part above the fingernail is insane, thank god that part of the body is so small, but the pain had my clenching everything in my body

Kneecaps we’re the worst for me , no questions at all. Got one at 22 and didn’t get the other till I was 31 and I had my suit basically done by 28.
It’s crazy how different people are, my knees were great, but inner thighs, that was a different story

The back of my hand and my fingers were the most painful tattoos I have gotten . Right after that would be my shin and calf hurt while getting it really hurt the next day . but that was after 8 hours of tattooing .

I have a bat over the whole front (going a little over the sides of) my throat, and that wasn't too bad honestly. But my first knuckles, the inside of my fingers, and my palm are easily the most awfully painful tattoos I've ever gotten.
My throat didn't hurt that much. To me the neck was among the least painful spots, except close to the collarbone. Pain tolerance is different between each person though.
The end of my fingers were the worst too but I fell asleep getting my throat done.... And my ass cheek I didn't even feel.. sooo weird how it feels different for different people. I want to start my head but I'm nervous. I have a guy who would do it for free to build this portfolio but I'm nervous it's going to hurt really bad. Someone send advice on head tattoos and the experience

I started a neck tattoo 4 years ago, after 3 hours shock started to do its thing, and we had to stop. I just finished it finally a few weeks ago. I was not excited to finish but I did and it was awful but I'm so much happier with it finally finished. I suggest you find the time and will to get your neck finished, you know you'll survive so just get it over with, you'll feel good about it after you regain feeling in your esophagus and your enflamed jugular subsides. Just do it

The armpit is 1000000% the most agonizing pain ive ever been in. Not to mention the absolutely dreadful aftercare and healing from it.
i only ever tattooed myself and the first ever thing I did back then with a sewing needle and some floss was the tips of my fingers, it fell out all the way cause I hadn't gone deep enough so all in all I tattooed every tip of my own fingers about 4 times and it sucked every time haha
