    I absolutely love my new IBGC Epiphone Les Paul Custom in Alpine White. I don’t care about its country of origin. What matters to me is it inspires me to play. Thank you Epiphone for this new premium line. For just $500 more, with this quality it’s a bargain. It has been 11 years since I bought my 4 Epiphone Les Pauls. This new premium line woke me up from hibernation. Seriously!

      Absolutely.. I agree with you.. I think that some viewers are out to tear epiphone apart before they own or really play one of the new models.. They really are on another level to the previous models and are as near to the Gibson version as you will get minus the nitro finish and the slight difference on the bridge. That aside they share much the same specs as the 6k custom shop versions.

      Glad you guys had good ones, that was not my case, I'll be upgrading the shit out of the 800€ one though 😁

    Ensuite malheureusement les mauvaises finisisons ça peut arriver sur toutes les lignes production... Même Gibson ou Fender à 3000/5000 balles. L'ancienne collection aussi a eu des necks break etc. Perso je checkerai un max de reviews et de forums pour voir si c'est un problème récurrent avant d'en acheter une. Merci pour ta video !

    Super le comparatif sur les finitions merci ! Possesseur de l'ancienne version je n'ai pu m'empêcher de tiquer quand j'ai vu l'annonce des versions inspirées par Gibson...Mais si c'est pour me retrouver avec un instrument moins bien fini, effectivement c'est la loose. Par contre peut-être que niveau son ça ne joue pas dans la même catégorie?

    • @valendis
      @valendis  4 місяці тому

      Je ferai quelques extraits mais honnêtement je préfère la moins chère aussi au niveau du son 😅
      Évidemment c'est une review parmi d'autres, c'est pas forcément parce que j'ai pas eu de chance que c'est le cas pour tout le monde, le fait est que la version a 800€ a de bien meilleures finitions... Sur ces exemplaires précis !

    Review interessante, j'ai pris la ES-355 et la finition est tres bonne a part les fretes, elles n'etaient pas asse polis (typique d'Epiphone) mais elles accrochent pas comme dans ton cas...
    J'ai entendu plusieur personnes qui ont recu ces nouvelles Les Paul Custom avec des problemes.
    Ton opinion de la guitare est valide car c'est ton experience et au pris paye tu as des attentes justifiees.
    Les jack SwitchCraft peuvent etre tres rigides, c''est normal mais ca surprend au debut.

    • @valendis
      @valendis  3 місяці тому

      C'est ça effectivement, et là elle faisait pâle figure contre la moins cher, c'est surtout ça qui était frustrant!
      Superbe la ES-355 également elle me tentait, la SG aussi est très jolie...
      Je devrai recevoir des pièces pour upgrade la moins cher mais vraiment la moins cher est vraiment un très bon rapport qualité/prix même avec tout d'origine.
      J'ai prévu d'aller au Japon l'an prochain et j'essayerai de ramener une Shinichi Ubukata pour avoir une semi-hollow.
      J'avais trouvé la standard 50s très convaincante également mais je pouvais pas blairer la touche...

    I used to have the cheaper version but the neck profile was too weird feeling for me and it was constantly going out if tune, even after setting up... The headstock shape was ugly as well and was emphasised by the binding.. Otherwise it sounded quite good to say that it had the epiphone mud buckers on board... I have owned a gibson les paul standard that I bought new in 2001...It is in need of a 2nd re-fret after years of gigging... I thought that the new epiphone custom would be a nice one to replace it whilst it is out of action..,especially given that it has the 498T/490B paired pickups.. and the chunky neck profile.

      I mean to each it's own, I personally prefer the cheaper one, but maybe I just got unlucky with the expensive one and you got yourself unlucky with the cheaper version...
      I'm not willing to give it another shot TBH, preferring the cheaper version makes my bank account happy 😁

      @@valendis I just took delivery an new ebony one today... It really is an amazing guitar... The playability and the overall build quality of the one I got is simply flawless and outstanding... I got mine for only £1089.00.. in uk.. It looks as good as it sounds and sounds as good as it looks.. I am very happy with the guitar and the super groovy hard case that comes with it.

    Le plus gros point pour moi est sur la spec finish qui reste du polyuréthane (plastique) et ne vaut pas le prix.

    • @valendis
      @valendis  3 місяці тому +1

      Et alors en plus, j'ai l'impression que mon exemplaire était avec un finish qui se rayait plus facilement que celle de la gamme en dessous...
      Non vraiment moi je conseille celle à 800€, que je trouve vraiment cool au niveau des specs, honnêtement même les probuckers sonnent vraiment sympa et qui est irréprochable au niveau finitions. En plus moi qui vais changer pas mal de parties dessus honnêtement ça ne vaut pas le coup pour ce que je veux en faire.
      En gardant à l'esprit que j'ai peut-être eu beaucoup de chance sur celle à 800€ et beaucoup de malchance sur celle à 1300€ mais bon...

    I played one of these yesterday in a store and it feels cheap. It's rediculous heavy as well. Like heavier than my Artist TC59 that I demoed a few years ago. The neck is super sticky and feels exactly the same as a Epiphone Les Paul standard or Epiphone Les Paul Custom You're paying 300% more for a Seymour Duncan pickup, a Silverburst finish and fake Schaller tuners that are not very precise and jump a bit as I discovered oh and a cheap plastic Epiphone hardcase. Also just below the Adam Jones hanging on the wall in the store was a Brand New Gibson SG standard in limited TV yellow for the same asking price. Beautiful👍And to the left was a Fender Ultra Strat for less than both. You'd have to be an absolute Smeg to buy a Chinese guitar over a US. I love AJ and have been listening to TOOL since the early 90s but no thanks man. It's Chinese. Premium prices and made in china should never be an actual thing in my book.😂

      You must have played a 800 dollar one... The new ones are way way way better than the regular earphones.. Light years ahead... They range in weights between 7.9 pound up to around 9.3...the perfect weight zone for a les paul... The neck is super smooth and the correct profile... The case is premium and just the same as regular gibsons... I have a gibson les paul cherry burst standard and the case is no better than the on the new custom... Everyone will have an opinion on any guitar.. You have to take what you can afford and that's not always a good thing.. This one is very low priced for the quality and specs... No offence to your opinions but its just a brilliant guitar that feels, looks and sounds up there with most gibson les paul but minus the nitro and the price tag... New nitro on the neck of a Gibson les paul custom is sticky in comparison to polyurethane but does smooth out a bit faster with wear. People will appreciate the price difference between epiphone regular and the premium. 1200 might have been alot of money 15 years ago, but it is not alot to ask for in 2024.

      I, actually, way prefer the cheaper one, QC is flawless on mine whereas it's terrible on the expensive one.
      Honestly I'm pretty sure it's about having a "good one" more than anything, the important thing is to be aware that not all the guitars are the same.
      And you can get an expensive Gibson with terrible QC... Nothing new here
