      @@joel12388 Many of the Sanskrit words are itself from Prakrit languages of ancient India and many itself from Tamil. So if you were to analyse these Kings names it would be a mixture of earlier Prakrit, some Sanskrit and mostly Tamil. My late father was a scholar in Sanskrit and also could speak and write Malayalam and Tamil. During the Medieval period in Tamilakam the Chola kings had introduced Sanskrit in ritualistic practices in temples but they also were the ones who also patronised Tamil to a big extent. So Sanskrit and Tamil are too intertwined but most evidences point to Tamil being much older than Sanskrit.

    You know how popular the Japanese scroll paintings are. I was recently studying about such paintings in India. And I was surprised to see that India has a couple dozen of such art forms but almost no one knows about them. Each state has its own thousands of years old art forms. There are also scroll paintings in India as well. And some wall paintings, cloth paintings. Why is it that India from being such a artistic culture which includes beautiful story writing, beautiful poems and drawings became such a NON ARRTITSIC country all of a sudden.

      India's climate is the opposite of Mongolia's climate. That is hot and wet versus cold and dry. Genghis Khan's troops would have suffered horribly (both horses and men) in most parts of India. The humid air was really bad for Mongol bows.

      @Optimistic_mind441 2 роки тому +3

      Ghazni didn't attack South or even central India. Both ghazni and Raja Raja chola knew about each other because they had spy network but Ghazni simply attacked and ran away but never came close to cholas. Many Rajput kings defeated him and his nephew, that's why he came 17 times

      @@gameruleworld.1889 Really! all "indians" were bharatians please show me proof and timeline were tamilians were called Bharatians. Where was India before British. I am not being a seperatist but calling everyone in modern india as indians in the past also does not make sense. Each state in Inida have theor own culture heritage and history and they have their right to be proud of it by reffering to their ethnic identity without using the word Indian. Afterall india encloses all the ethnic groups who have their own history and there is nothing wrong with being proud of it by refering to their history by their own ethic identity. I am pretty sure the Cholas were identified as cholas and not Tamils or Indians or bharatians in the past buy the east Asians.

    Colonisation is the process of establishing a colony. A colony is a territory subject to foreign rule. If what was said Indian states didn't colonise, they invaded and replaced the culture that existed with their own. This is no different to how other invaders have acted throughout history. The weak are forced to adopt the ways of the strong. That is the history of the world.

    • @joysuryasaha7287
      @joysuryasaha7287 3 роки тому +16

      no, in case of India and South East Asia it was not invasion through which culture changed .it was the soft power of India through the help of traders. Traders from Vanga(Bengal) , Tamil Nadu, Kalinga ( Odisha) ,Kerala has influenced the Most. Military invasion by cholas took place only in 11th century AD.
      But the presence of Indian Culture in South East Asia was from 1st Century AD. Even Word Sri Vijaya is an Indian term. And ironically Rajendra Chola attacked Sri Vijaya kingdom of Indonesia who were already buddhist and was ruling for ages.
      Both Hindu and Buddhist indianization took place in South East Asia was in return of Trade that took place but not due to invasion. Invasion was done by Rajendra Chola to take the Control of trade routes not to spread any religion ( as South East India was already indianized then)

      @@SonuSahani A military invasion and co quest is a military invasion and conquest not a coming together of cultures through trade. The reality is that this guy is afraid to speak the truth about what happened because of India's colonial past even though at the time he is referring to Britain was under French (Norman occupation). The same Normans whose nobles traced their heritage back to Viking invaders of the French coast. The history of human kind is that the strong conquer the weak. Pre Indian srates were no different and to pretend otherwuse is to deny history.

      If that is the way humans work then why hun in india adopted Hinduism ?
      There are many examples where cultures merged inspite of military conquest.
      Yes military conquest happens but it doesn't end up destroying other cultures.
