suing kids is all right? theyy make BILLIONS and have TRASH anti cheaat, spending 0 cents, and on top of that a kid takes a few thousand and they are on him, epic is TRASH
I think lawsuits are a really great way to deal with cheaters... epic should pick some random cheaters every week or month, no matter if tournament or just for fun public match and drag them in front of a judge. The risk of getting bankrupt for the next 300 years would prevent a lot of losers from starting to cheat and ruin other players fun.
This!!! If they kept that same energy for the cheaters that are now transitioning to pubs bc there’s no money and they feel like it will be less likely for them to get caught and suffer the consequences, it would send a clear message that cheating as a whole is not allowed in fortnite whether there’s money involved or not. It ruins the sportsmanship of the game, which is the primary reason a lot of us play.
@@babykingfrThat’s absurd. The eula for pubs also says cheating, teaming, hacking, etc are not allowed and are bannable offenses. It should be taken just as seriously as competitive matches bc more people play pubs than those who compete.
The issue though is that cheating will unfortunately never come to a full stop. Bungie (despite how garbage of a studio they are) did go after cheat makers and sued them. Rather than stopping however, cheaters only started popping up more. It's gotten to a point now where PvP is dominated by cheaters since the anti-cheat doesn't work now
This kid deserved to get sued. Cheating in video games should be taken more seriously, especially when there's money on the line. They think they're making a quick and easy buck, but what they're actually doing is taking money away from the people who've actually put in the work to be the best at the game. It's so frustrating to see the top players in the game being taken out by hackers using wall hacks and aimbots and sometimes not even qualifying because of it.
While I think you should earn money a more "legit" way instead of just being good at a game, I agree, people should get the money they worked hard for, and cheaters shouldn't be able to steal that money from them.
@@Creator-gk5rv esports is just a valid as any other sport. People should be encouraged to pursue things they’re great at, especially if it brings value to other people. We’re all here watching this video, that’s proof enough that this is a valid area to pursue as long as you’re good enough. It’s not wasting time as long as you’re realistic.
Keep in mind, by cheating in competitive matches with prize cash, he was literally trying not to only steal money from epic, but from someone else who would potentially have won fair and practiced a lot.
@@NobodyGamer100 Yeah, I forgot about the prize money 😅 But for Epic game its not that much. I can remember when Epic Games banned legit players for just having OBS, which their Anti Cheat thinks is malicious, and Epic games support does not do anything till this day. They've broken more laws than players and cheaters have done recently
I can already guess that Sebastian is going to “LOVE” this holiday season and a fresh start to the new year with him being in a lawsuit, his parents being angry with him, and to put a cherry on top… known as a cheater 💀
Not to mention this will follow him throughout the rest of his life. Future employer looks up his record 🧐Ohh a lawsuit what is this. Epic games? HOW MUCH? FOR WHATTTT?!?🤣
I hope that kid grows up but his age is no excuse cause I'm a 15 almost 16 year old myself and wouldn't ever do something that stupid that steals the chance for other people to compete and win money
If bro only cheated in unranked then I would have thought that Epic went overboard, but the fact it was cheating in tournaments and winning money from it, yeah, screw him, he gets what he deserves.
All cheaters should go to jail. If they steal money for cheating, it is fraud. They are giving out felonies to shoplifters in California now. Why can't cheaters ?
If he were playing in casual matches thats one thing, but damn 40k by cheating in tournments, while streaming to encourage even more cheating??? Deserved
if I have encountered a cheater I probably just shrugged it off and just blamed it on my skill level rather than a potential cheater so I wouldn’t ever know if someone cheated in any of the games I play
If he really did cheat in a tournament, that is a serious thing. Tournaments always have a cash prize, and if one cheats to win, then that's considered "felony theft".
To anyone who wants to know some more bits of info about how the law works (mostly the words used): Plaintiff means ‘accuser’ (in layman’s terms it means someone who is taking a person to court and is the one who uses the complaint), complaint means basically the document for the case (I.E: this very example), defendant means the accused (a person or group of people can be under this term), jury means the people who are there and say the final sentence (Jury Duty for US citizens cannot be avoided unless it’s a good reason for it being missed out, such as a natural disaster or an illness), ‘your honor’ means the judge and it’s respectful to them
This should be done more often. Not only just a general lawsuit but charges of theft/fraud should be pressed against those who do it in cash cups/competitive play when money is involved.
Seems like a loser to me. I've seen comments on other videos saying that some of the pros said he was weird even before cheating. It takes little to no skill to cheat, thankfully Epic Games will soon give him the correct punishment.
It takes no skill to get past a complex anti cheat? Ion think you kno what skill is. They just arent skillful at the game, not have no skill whatsoever lmaoo
@@Lor_SterlingAll he's doing is injecting cheats not making them himself. That's extremely easy. No wonder a dude who types "ion" would think something so basic is brain surgery.
@@Lor_Sterling it's pretty easy to bypass EAC if you want to. I highly doubt this kid even developed the software. It takes no skill to run somebody else's cheat haha
You say, “well he wasn’t using cheats in public matches,” as if to say cheating will probably only get these kids caught if they do it when money is involved. But just last night I came across a cheater in my game who could clearly see me through walls. How do you defend against someone like that? How is that a fair game? How is it still not a bannable offense worthy of some more severe punishment than a 24 hour or 14 day ban?? Epic has been too lax on these cheaters and all this lawsuit did was discourage cheating in tournaments, which only benefits people who compete. I’m a casual player. I don’t compete. So now I’m seeing a rise in cheating in pubs matches, especially on east coast servers where I get the lowest ping. I’m hoping they do something about it bc it’s ruining the fun of the game.
This is great to see, Epic Games taking action on the exploiting community and putting an end to it. Anyone tied to a cheater should be liable additionally people selling the exploits because we've seen with this case that software / hardware terminations aren't enough. All and All, Epic Games are a Billion Dollar company and they can afford a MUCH better team of lawyers than you can, so don't exploit.
They should sue all of them whether it's a tournament for a prize or ranked. Even cheating in ranked is screwing people out of placement and opportunities to team with better players, get better practice, participate in some tourneys etc... I honestly wish they would make it a law where you can face criminal charges for cheating in anything where there's cash or a prize for winning. I hope they sue this loser till he has nothing left. People don't seem scared tho still run into obvious cheaters in ranked matches, get rid of all them please epic.
1:16 i can never tell if i got killed by a cheater because tfue exists and im sure there are others just as good as him at the game and i dont stay long to spectate the player who killed me
The example you gave about the car would be theft by deception. Basically the same thing. It may be called what you said in they’re state though, not sure. One time I bought a UA-cam channel, (yes it’s against UA-cam’s policy) but the guy scammed me for the UA-cam channel. I spent $300 more in fees to take him to court than what the channel cost, but it was worth it in the end because he owed me the $ I sent him, and $750 for the theft by deception. Along with the course cost he had to pay.
In my opinion getting caught with a cheater and getting a ban is crazy i played with a guy about 8 months ago and he didn't cheat and out of nowhere he starts cheating he got banned a day after he was on
This will become more common as time goes on. Video games will eventually become the biggest industry in the world when their target audience literally includes anyone who is living. Turns out people don't 'grow out of' gaming like we once thought. I fully embrace companies going after cheaters. I stopped shopping at GameStop because they sell the Cronus Zen

This might seem like a funny dumb idea but what if Fortnite had a place for those hackers to go like a hackers tournament with trolling mystery prizes like a Fortnite skin wearing a T-shirt that says "Cheater" and an emote of holding a sign that says "I'm a Loser" and joining the hackers tournament bans the hackers from normal gameplays with non-cheaters by placing them in separate servers I'd like to call the Exile Servers. Announcing a hackers tournament will help Fortnite find all the dumb ones in one swift move and keep track of them. They get a life time banned if they try to find their way out of the Exile servers. And, Fortnite can send admins to troll the hackers in the Exile Servers from time to time, like the way Camomo_10's trolls the cheaters in Rust.
Just from what I have heard he is being sued for $200,000+ for all the money fortnight is spending to sue him, breach of contract, all the money they lost for people quitting ( 15:28 he talks about it there ) and finally all the money he made from tournaments
