Imagine studying kirks solos "oh hes using e minor pentatonic, 2 notes per string, with. Sloppy run down the high string" moves onto another Kirk solo "oh look e minor pentatonic with a sloppy fast run down the high e but this time with wah" haha 😄 😅 if you're studying James you'll probably learn something but I wouldn't waste too much time studying Kirk's leads at all they're very basic and uninspired especially compared to how good and technical the riffs can be then you get hit with these extremely musically basic solos. Lol just seems like a joke to me im sorrt
You absolutely nailed it Trey. The Trujillo stance, harmonized guitar solo, lots of yeahs, evil laughs, the Battery beat, the whole step modulation, gallopy riffs, all on point. Well done! /,,/
Dude you nailed it this song is a banger! Congratulations on writing this. The riffs remind off the 90's trash metal. I especially liked the harmonies parts and solos.
I love it. That solo sounded exactly like something Kirk would write. The solo at 17:51 sounds like something Hetfield would write too. Vocals were awesome. Guitar harmonies were well put. Bass was huge. Insanely talented man 👏🏽 Would’ve been cool to hear a JC-120 tone for them cleans, but I still loved it!

Definitely a great start and has all the Metallica feels. I think if the band took this they'd end up in a different place with some of the lyrics, ad-libs, and probably move it to a more recent phrasing of the instrumentation. All that said, it was thoroughly enjoyable. The "prisoner of apathy" theme is brilliant and feels like an anthem whose time has come.

One thing that I think is worth mentioning is what could be called the Hetfield trill. It is the 2-3-2-0 pattern, that is played as 16ths in Creeping Death and Atlas, Rise! or 8ths in Through the Never (and somewhere else that I cannot think of right now). Yah it was a bit Mustainey
The pitch of Mustaine??? That's just about another step below Mustaine's usual key
it's like Hetfield and Mustaine had a baby. 🤘
