I love it. He wasn't really afraid, it's nice when they feel comfortable around you and you've gained their trust and are communicating with them. Even though it can end up starting an argument over a chair 😂
I agree with you. Most of Canada geese are friendly to people, and they are very cooperative with human in case people want to take photos/videos with them.
Yes. The goose is really cute. He wanted to continue to sit in front of a chair, but eventually left. Yet his sounds and movement of the head indicated that he was unwillingly to do so..
Wow, what food you fed them? Here (In Montreal Botanical Garden), there are plenty of foods and Canada geese never eat foods from people. In contrast, some smart mallard ducks frequently ask people for foods (unhealthy for them though). Canada geese also make such sounds among themselves when they are in low-intensity confrontation. So I am sure it means "this is my places". When they confront a red fox, the "head" males(usually 2-3) also make head movements shown in this video. It is a warning to the other side that this is my place. Thanks for your suggestion, and I will try to make video on their sounds in the future.
Yeah well I’ve seen a couple videos of people hand feeding them and thought I’ll try some do most don’t the foods wild bird seed they love. It sounds like a beautiful home you have there you’re a lucky man. I live in a black hole of a town called Wolverhampton but most people refer to it as Vulgarhampton should really have a message on the signs ye who enter here abandon all hope same goes for the so called football team the clue of there talent is in the latter of there name. I usually go to a place called Parton to feed them where there are 2 lakes, 2 ways on and off they estate, it has 10000 + people, sometimes up to 30 birds crossing any said main road. I’m sure they use the larger lake as a migration area as well because in season I’ve seen the sky go dark with up to 100 - 200 coming in it’s pretty impressive. That’s really interesting knowledge that you know about they’re behaviour because most people don’t know any of this I honestly think given how many of these birds they’re are it’s good to know knowledge is power after all. Luckily though they don’t have any issues with fox’s here thanks to their islands…they seem to like you to so give feeding them a go as well & definitely do some kinda tutorial and more info on them. I like your style and sure others do/would as well. Flying home real life movie check it out I think you’ll like it peace out
I don't know if Canada Geese can, but I've had so many pets that can understand what I'm saying - rats, dogs, ferrets, rabbits, even wild animals like squirrels and animals in zoos like elephants. Animals are way smarter than humans think they are, imo.
There are a few Canada geese, who are smarter and can understand people. When I tried to get closer to a nesting goose, or goslings, the parents (usually the male) will become hostile and give warning. Then I tried to talk them friendly, they will become quieter and let me be closer with them (to observe them, take photos etc.).

One of the most "peaceful" negotiations I've seen / heard
I'm glad he let you live
Thank you. This goose is not aggressive, but friendly.
Love THAT goose:)

How'd you learn fluent goose?
During the past several years, I spent lots of time to observe them, their sounds and behaviors. So I have some experiences with them.
It’s like that part in mj’s Black Or White music video
Thank you for the compliment.
Cobra Chickens
Awesome name!
😂😂😂😂
😅 do you believe that he can understand what you said?
Yes. The sound I made was to imitate the goose saying "This is my place."
