Paddy by decision

You think he has better elbowing skill than francis 😂
Elbow skills so good Francis just ate it, an it knocked fury back 😂
Fury would probably lose his life in MMA

The odds wouldn't be great but thinking a elite boxer couldn't put anyone to sleep is crazy
It really depends on who theyre up against if its anyone who has an effective counter to boxing like a good wrestling or bjj game then they could keep it on the ground and pretty much make the boxers punching power a non-factor

A heavy weight boxer would beat a lightweight MMA fighter

And? Your comment is nothing more than cope because you know MMA fighters are tougher.
Simple as that.
I’m a boxer I fell in love with boxing bc of how technical it is I’ve been doing it for 6 years now but I also train kicks and elbows almost every training session and I wrestled for a year learning kicks and elbows is just essential in my opinion bc in a real fight no rules I’m not just going to rely on boxing not every situation will start in punching range.
I’d suggest getting a fire arm as well, it is a lot more efficient for “real fights”
In my opinion in 1vs1 fair street fight without weapon you can easily beat any untrained fighter or street fighter with just boxing skills bro if you are actually real proper boxer
Because you still have better cardio stamina strength speed
As I said above, MMA beats boxing in a real life fight.
I'm so glad Joe Rogan said this because I've actually been training to get into the UFC, AS A "BOXER", where I push myself and take that challenge and risk as something I know I can do.
Joe really wants Fury against Francis in cage
He just pointed out the common sense
The best UFC or MMA fighter today is Ngannou, and he just goth annihilated by freaking Anthony Joshua of all people. He HUMILIATED him and sent him to the shadow realm.
Ngannou dominated MMA with exclusively his boxing skills. He had no kicks, no takedowns...just pure power.
Boxing is definitely superior skill, no questions about it, and the best MMA has to offer couldn't last more than measly 2 rounds against a decent heavyweight boxier.
If they were fighting in the street, AJ would knock his lights out with a single punch.
George Foreman, Sonny Liston and Mike Tyson could be even more deadly if they joined MMA
It would really suprise me if mike tyson being a midget would actually be anything in mma in heavyweight even if he trained, he would be fighting at such a disadvantage just getting kicked
@@arthurmorgan5053 no offence y’all got Daniel Cormier who’s 5’9 built like a frolly fat man who’s one of the greatest ufc heavyweights ya think Mike Tyson who’s 5’10 built like a tank and punches like a frickin bus wouldn’t strive in mma if he trained as hard as he did in boxing he would be a champion too
@@Jerry-yr1en yea when your a short stocky wrestler it works, when your a short stocky boxer who has a 71 inch reach and is vulnerable to kicks it doesnt work
@@arthurmorgan5053 who knows bro I really think he could do well in mma like other smaller guys like Fedor or Rashad Evans
@@Jerry-yr1en I mean if he trained mma his whole life there is a possibility and his heigh and reach would hold him back just off that but also him transitioning would be terrible bc boxers are open to leg kicks. Ali had a fight where the guy could leg kick from the ground and the guy literally laid on the ground and destroyed alis legs. 99 percent of boxing that would transition into mma in the middle of there career would do terrible
James toney was a great example he won an mma fight bc the mma fighter just stood with him some mma guys who don’t kick and wrestle could probably lose to them tbh
And James is 0-1 that’s ain’t shit
James Toney never won s#¡t in MMA 🤣
Randy Couture took him down, beat him and submitted him. You are thinking of Ray Mercer and Tim Sylvia
This is why Fury stayed quiet after ngannou said “if I lose my temper your gonna have a bad time”
Depends what boxer and what mma fighter.
Thank you!! So sick of this stupid argument
@@infomatrix7394I agree. I know there are some boxers who would never succeed on the cage, but some would and have, like Jeremy Williams. Also, Ngannou is a particularly unique person as doesn’t represent MMA as a whole.

Dont forget some boxers are smart and do alot of foot work, balance and all that stuff. They can learn just as quik or faster. Discipline is high for boxers.
People tend to forget its not the sport that matters its the athlete
@@RomesPompeii boxers seem to have more discipline.
Thats just not the case😂 that's like borderline delusional. Ur work ethic could be through the roof. It'll still take a couple years to even get close to beating anyone in MMA. You act like MMA fighters don't also have a lot of discipline. The majority of ufc fighters have been fighting and training MMA their whole lives. There has never been a pure boxing champ outside of heavyweight in MMA. Don't say Sean Strickland cuz even he uses kickboxing and wrestling
@@RomesPompeiiKobe Bryant is praised and loved for his very high work ethic. U give him a year to train and then throw him in the octagon. He loses. 100% of the time. Work ethic definitely helps. But you still have to train MMA for a long time to even have a chance against the Early prelim fighters

This is like comparing a midfielder playing in Defense to a striker playing in defence the midfielder is much more well rounded so overall he is better and would do better in that scenario whereas the striker is specialised in one thing
Elite level fighters are elite level fighters. If they dedicate themselves to either the boxing or MMA craft they will be successful. Dedicate means they train for the event they are competing at. Its important to remember why these guys are successful in the first place.
Its like saying Usain Bolt could set marathon record because he is good at running. Stupid statement. You become elite athlete by dedication, genetics, good build for a sport and sometimes drugs. Just like some people are able to punch harder, others can do it with kicks. Also long arms are a lot more beneficial in boxing than in MMA.
Joe fails to realize that most boxers don’t go into MMA because it pays like ass compared to boxing

If there is a boxer who could be successful in MMA, then it would be at HW. Most MMA HWs are one-dimensional slow sluggers, who mainly just throw hands anyway. So someone with good hands might have a chance. In lower weight classes, close to zero chance outside of a hailmary lucky punch.

I think that's dependent on the boxer and if they work on other martial arts before hopping in the ring. I mean imagine if Mike Tyson took a wrestling class and then started charging you. Not to mention a lot of MMA fighters like Sean Strickland are considered elite fighters despite the fact they primarily use boxing in their fights. I think its dependent on the boxer using grappling and knees in order to force their opponent into a area where their basically having a boxing match with the dude. Not to mention it would probably get a lot of attention which might not spell out into how well they performed but fighters like Conner made the big bucks based as much on his performance and charisma as it was his actual prowess in combat. Though then again, boxers have shown to be completely unsure what to do about things like grappling and kicking if they haven't been trained for it

💯 loses in MMA, if Fury fought Ngannou in the octagon.
Lol all of Rogans conversation are on the level who's stronger batman or Superman..last time I had this conversation was in kindergarten
But I think training with you’re hands like a boxer and mix it up with grappling and some kicks you’re dangerous because boxers have really good foot work, are fast, good reaction and good distance feeling that’s what I expirenced
I would love to see that.... If Fury wants to go for an upset, this is the way he gets it.
Tommy Gunn was not a street fighter, he had no business fighting Balboa outside the ring.
There was a boxer who kicked ass in kickboxing. Would he be able to compete in MMA? Probably yes. He kept his game simple and knew how to fight.
Honestly, an elite MMA fighter like Ngannou boxing is like an Marine playing a round of airsoft. It’s not really comparable.
Tyson Fury now, out of shape and semi-retired would beat your best MMA fighter easily. If you think otherwise you don't know Fury.
Sounds like Joe is backing up on the fight
Well to be fair, he never picked Ngannou to win in the first place and always said it wouldn't be a fight in MMA
The reason you don’t see boxers crossover is the money isn’t there. I think like every mma fighter boxers would use that as their base and develop the rest needed. A wrestler doesn’t know how to strike and a kick boxer doesn’t know how to grapple.
One of the best things about this show. Tony tells Paulie that he can’t touch Ralph. In the same episode Tony beats Ralph to death over a horse.
Kick-boxer with good take down defence but 0 ground game is running light heavy weight right now.
Thanks for explaining how the two sports have very little similarities

Perfectly Said... 👍👍👍👍👍
the last time I remember a pure stamdup fighter being dominant was Chuck and I think that's because his sprawl was godlike.
These days, the wrestlers are of such a higher caliber that I don't think they can be shut down that easily.
If you had a boxing guy with a crazy good clinch ( we're talking Fedor like clinch power ) and takedown defense then it could work, but that's not something you can just "tack on" as a boxer.
Chuck was a wrestler to begin with, he just used it to push aside takedowns and brawl with his hands. There is no pure striker or pure anything that wins now.
In mma the martial arts rules are combined so for example boxers cant kick while they are fighting muay thai fighter
It’s the same both ways
Crawford would be good, he comes from a wrestling family
They’d have to learn kicks idk why people make it seem impossible
Francis would just calf kick him to oblivion
