While I may have owned Luftwaffe and Panzer Leader prior to getting Squad Leader, it is Squad Leader (and its expansions) that made me the wargaming addict I am today. Thanks for the video.
Still got this and its first expansion - Cross of Iron? - upstairs. Not opened it in 25 years, but me and a mate hammered it back in the day. Cross of Iron really expanded the tank mechanics, I recall. I don't think I've the brain to remember how to play it now, unfortunately.
I been wanting SL for a long long time since I learned of wargaming. I just bought it and going to buy the expansions. I got Conflict Heroes, ghost panzer, screaming eagel. I have yet dived in to them but SL was always the one game I wanted to start with and the board game graphics I prefer. so I have many hourse of good wargaming a head :D maybe later I will get ASL but to much rules can become to much for me.
