Nice looking set up, I haven't played in a few years, never this board but I appreciate your work in making the videos, I'm quite familiar with the first Pacific and Europe A&A, this having similarities to the Pacific. Seems like the ANZACS might do well to save half their $$ for a while, waiting to see how and where Japan is and is not progressing?
@@Mrnatethegreat2002 It was fun. The Japanese player was too busy fighting the Chinese and Americans so Anzac was able to build a large fleet and invaded Japan, occupying Tokyo. The Japanese fleet had no transports so they went to go harass the allies in the Atlantic to help the Germans. The game ended with Anzac tanks and mech infantry rolling west across Russia towards Germany and the Anzac fleet being sunk by the Japanese in the mouth of the Meditarian, stranding the Anzac invasion force in Morocco.
@@LuckystrikeNQ France is usually eliminated first turn. If there is any strat at all, it is just to cause as much damage to the axis powers (the European axis powers specifically) as possible.
I know I'm coming in late here, but at 6:49 you said that you can scramble fighters into sea zone 54. Australia is specifically declared NOT an island in the rulebook and you can only scramble from islands with airbases. I could be wrong but the last I heard, that was the official rule. Obviously, house rules can dictate if scrambling can occur from ANY airbase, but that has to be agreed by all players prior to starting.
I retract my previous dumbass statement. I read the rules and saw that any coastal territory can scramble fighters. I was buffaloed with a house rule thinking it was gospel.
I have to disagree that as the Anzac player you're not going to win the game, won game 5 and Anzac fighter planes knocked out the entire Japanese fighter and Carrier group squadron air support resulting in American forces knocking out to Japanese carriers turning the tide in the Pacific, and resulting in Japanese forcesbeing knocked out by mass and Anzac bombing runs on Japan.
I totally agree. My strategies are always weird, but if you get the Dutch Islands after a few turns then you have 20+ IPC all of a sudden, and have already had like 3 turns to build a navy/air force with aircraft carriers. 20+ per turn is enough that I usually end up building a pretty good force with a few transports After that you move from the South toward the Japanese islands, which is a huge help to the US coming in from the East. Taking the Japanese islands means they either have to put a ton of effort to get them back, or the US and ANZAC can now bring bombers close enough to directly help attack Tokyo The ANZAC and US together are a huge force, and if you do it right I see no way Japan would be able to beat both
The Oklahoma Mapper happened in our last game, the USA finished Japan off, couldn‘t kill all units on japan yet but Anzac landet with 3 full transports and 2 planes support and took tokyo.
hey, i wonder. since china is isolasionist. are you allowed as england and or anzac to go into ther territory or true it? since they are not allowed to go out are we allowed to go inn?
After Japan goes to war with the Allies (UK, ANZAC, USA) you can but its very difficult because the allies in the rule cant declare war on anybody until after round 4.
No they cannot since to build a major complex the territory must have an IPC value of 3 and I believe that the territory must originally be your territory and ANZAC doesn’t start with a 3 IPC value territory
Your strategy videos are very basic and boring. Your group must play play same all the time. Your video on Italy is the same. ANZAC CAN make a huge difference. You didn't even really mention convoy raiding. Anzac can ruin the spice islands for Japan. Anzac can easily take Korea and pin Japan in the home islands. If they cone for you Your fucked. Much like if America focuses on one person. However normally they don't and you have time to build up a reasonable force. Usually a carrier and escorts to combine with the British pacific fleet. You don't even mention combining with the Raj or an American carrier. Spamming land units is a stupid build. You don't need to take sydney if you sack their navy and take new britain. It takes both their objectives
I live amongst the Anzacs. Thanks for the video mate.

Japan seems too powerful in this game.

Last but not least, some ANZAC learning
There's isn't too many options for the Anzac player to make a splash in the game.
Tokyo under Anzac LOL
You would need to purchase more factories because you literally would have to much money to spend. That would be hilarious.
GeneralHandGrenade I know right LOL!
There is a strategy to that though, America buying muscle and Anzac buying lots of transports.

Where did you get those unique kinds of infrantys?

Couldn't you go to brazil and put a factory there?
That's one way to play it. I think you would be letting Japan off the hook if you start sending units to the Europe side as the ANZAC.
