- The Sherman Brothers Play the Deleted Mary Poppins Song.
"Admiral Boom" was to be the theme song for the cannon-firing neighbor of the Banks Residence, but it was cut by Walt Disney as being unnecessary. The melody of the song remains in the film, and the bombastic theme is heard whenever Boom appears onscreen. One line from this song ("The whole world takes its time from Greenwich, but Greenwich, they say, takes its time from Admiral Boom!") is spoken by Bert early in the film. - Розваги
I like it :) he deserved a song and it isn't thaat long ;)
I love this movie, but wouldn't it suck having Admiral Boom for a neighbor? I mean would he really shoot that thing off every hour on the hour?Wouldn't last long in the projects i can tell you that!
I agree with it being unnecessary, but it still would have been awesome to have heard the full song of this in the film.
You can hear the full orchestral and another Demo Version on the Disney Legacy Soundtrack for Mary Poppins.
@@Nopper23 & one of the lines in the song were part of the dialogue from the beginning of the movie when Bert was talking about him.
Lyrics (I think🤷🏻♀️) :
Who in the royal navy, established that rigid time
That firm and flexible interval known as tea
Admiral BOOM (hahahahaha)
Time has been my watch worth , punctuality
The world takes its time from Greenwich, Greenwich takes its time from me
Admiral Boom Boom Boom Boom Boom Boom Boom
The name for punctuality you may safely assume ,
Safely assume -sume -sume -sume -sume -sume -sume
Theres rule throughout the admiral tea , it's me!
Admiral Boom ❗ ❗❗
