I discovered this band few days ago and I'm shocked that one of the heaviest shit I've ever listened to was recorded 22 years ago and I lived without knowing it exists
@@dougwilliams44 there should be more recognition for you guys Doug. This generation are giving credit to the wrong people. ORIGIN introduced intricate tech death to the world. If I have to do a full on Documentary on this I will and make sure every member past and present is credited. Sick of record labels giving credit to bands that suck and computerize their sound to make it sound good, and then the members of the bands saying they invented new tech death sounds and techniques when really they are using Paul Ryans riffs and Johns techniques. Drives me wild man.
When this CD dropped years ago I was a well-seasoned Metalhead for many years been to many shows and had a hell of a large collection of CDs but when I heard this I will admit it took me quite a bit to get into it because it was so extreme all these years later I'm a huge fan of origin and own all of their albums on CD

Blasting this masterpiece for the boys in the shop tomorrow while I chuckle to myself. Some of them think they listen to hard stuff 😂 I played some Archspire for them & they got quiet.
@@Psyborgasm I dont listen to gutter trash like you're speaking of. Talentless drudge that has no audible significance. I could take a dump & yield better results.
This is their best album-- after this they discovered sweep arpeggios which are not as cool as they think. The drumming is total madness in this one, the cymbal work is without parallel. When I first came across this album I thought the band name and album cover seemed underwhelming, but the massive brutal sound right out of the gate, nonstop, relentless, almost gave me a headache, and I loved it. My only criticism is that it should be an hour long.

Those gravity blasts 🥁
Longstreth IS The Beast

@@dougwilliams44 And so is George Fluke, who did gravity blasts before Longstreth joined the band. Is that correct? :)
One of the most brutal Death Metal recordings out there, sooth it is. *ORIGIN* !!!! 🍻

Thank you for all music,

Thank You for the Love! 🤘🏼😈🤘🏼
This is what metal sounds like to non-metal listeners. It's so crushing and techy I love it

My morning drive. Better than a cup of joe. Fully amped & ready for the agenda of bullshit.
To this day this guy is amongst the craziest singers I ever witnessed

That’s all I need! Metal
Definitely a intense band! 🤘🏻
This album goes HARD!
Every era of origin is the shit
These guys used to play Minneapolis quite a bit around the time this album came out he reminds me a lot of cryptopsy

i like this very much, not crazy tempos like newer albums.
They play some of these songs live fast as fuck though.

I like the kick drum sound on the demo version.
George Fluke
Is this the fastest anyone has ever hit a snare? I heard the drummer created a drumming technique....
Gravity blasts
"1 Handed Roll", but, the Demo album George Fluke did it first.😉
This album rules. Not a fan of anything they did afterwards though.
III is a good album, but it does diminish after. Too much tech wankery
Informis Infinitas Inhumanitas got some killer tracks!
Name of this album is Origin. Not Self Titled.
The term 'Self Titled' means that the band had decided not to put any words other than name of the band itself. The uploader did nothing wrong.
