On the last video I got several complaints that the robot's voice was hard to understand and sounded bad so I've dialed back the voice modification here as far as I can without hearing my own voice in it. If it's still bad please leave a comment and next time I'll work out something else.
I love this! I really think that there aren’t enough English/Middle English inspired conlangs. Usually, people are afraid of making a language similar to English, but there is nothing wrong with English like conlangs!
(6:30) That's because the word for woman is "wife-man" (where "man"means human) and "man" is a masculine noun. When you have compound nouns, the last noun determines the gender, while the former nouns kind of just describes what it is. But it's kind of weird that "wif" isn't feminine.
these conlang showcases are my favourite of any I've ever come across. I sincerely appreciate the effort put in to make them fun and entertaining, awesome job, thank you so much for sharing!! I'm looking forward to any new videos you make in the future
Really enjoyed the video, great work! There's just one little problem: for foreigners who don't speak English as their mother tongue (like me) it can be difficult understanding the robot's voice. I couldn't understand some parts of it. Love ur videos, bye!
Ȧᵹlıꞅc looks really cool. excellent work. The alternative typographical Latin alphabet gives Ȧᵹlıꞅc a special charm. but I can't help but notice that im like i’ looks complicated. Special in the word Sauede'i’ What if i’ is will written as ī ( Sauede'ī ) ? That is, yes, I suggest an macron for M over a vowele
Yeah you often see Irish written with that type of Latin, in fact I think you had to write it like that before the spelling reform in the 50s. Even then, you still see Irish written like that all about, in monuments and stuff
Using narrow transcription æ would represent [æ] or something in that area, more broadly it could be written as /a/ though. (and a alone would represent /ɑ(ː)/)
Can't understand the robot but that fact makes the images of the advert all the more hilarious due to lack of context Spider monkey spider monkey does whatever a spider monkey does in my dreams Hopefully it isn't attacking me
This was really cool. Great video! You could maybe use a text to speech generator for the robot voice, since it seems to be a bit difficult to understand.

It's still kind of hard to hear what's being said; that being from a non-native English speaker.
@@Liggliluff Native speaker here and I agree
The effort that went into this is glorious

As english itself is a conlang, I mean look at their writing system irregularities, this is not surprising.

The French knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail appears. Lol. I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition.
Really enjoyed the video, great work!

Even me, who is fluent in English, has a really hard time with the robot voice :/
Good to know, I'll look at text-to-speech or something like that next time

I'm only at the history part but damn that is such a great video. I love it
Just discovered your channel five minutes ago (five minutes into this video) and I really like it
Where I can read more about this beautiful language?
I'm afraid this is the only content out about it at the moment, I might follow it up with more at some point though
Very cool, thanks!

8:30 If you were writing their IPA forms in narrow phonetic transcription, would those a's instead be ae?

Say, what might Ȧᵹlıꞅc sound like in the early 2020s? Anyone got ideas?

I think there should be subtitles for this video to make some texts easier to understand.
The Albithish Driuen... And I think the ꞅc combo might, later on, represent the voiceless alveolo-palatal fricative, talking about sound changes.
I like how they call English 'V̇ꞅoıꞇıꞅc"

What was that track playing during the advert break?

1:12 fuck yeah! Rotherham cameo!
The name of the island is Cuyos/Cuios, but what's the proper way of spelling it?
the robot voice is hard to understand but definitely cool. you could go with subtitles or something like that?
Why is the “sh” sound written “sc” in the language name? Shouldn’t it be two c’s?
Triple-sided bureau?
Driuen?
