- The Mongolian Death Worm is like the Bigfoot of the desert. No one has ever seen the Death Worm, but everyone has a story. Did this terrifying creature really roam the barren desert, killing lost travelers and leaving nothing behind? Check out today's new video to see if we can crack the myth of the scar Death Worm.

They might be keeping this "death worm" story alive since it boosts tourism but who knows.
Who is going to profit from tourism to the Gobi desert
@@Dingbobber Lot many people... You probably will land in one of the major Airports in the country (govt will earn thru tax), then you will probably buy supplies for desert thus more business for markets and so on...
More likely it's just a folk tale that the natives believe in. The people in the Gobi desert don't benefit much from tourism.
I dunno. I don’t think I would want to go somewhere that hyped up a death worm lol.
rich western folks would pay a lot for the excitement of discovering the unknown. This is why many places in africa and south america preserve the legend of local monsters, so that tourists go into their place and spend money there, even though almost all of them are just local folktales and have no scientific evidence to prove otherwise.

"If it did exist, one of them would have been captured by now"
You don't qualify as any kind of scientist if you dismiss the possibility of discovery.
There's no proof, no droppings or other factors for it to be real. Besides a worm needs moisture which a desert has little of. The Death Worm is actually a snake and a case of mistaken identity.
That's what they used to say that about the Sasquatch. You will remember that none was ever captured or even a dead body of one.
Yeah, like Bigfoot, Loch Ness and Gnomes.
Idk man. Blowing up and flooding deserts, as well as scans from planes and dozens of interviews sounds pretty thorough 😅.
@@ducasse8473 Everyone's replying to this principle only within the context of this _single_ video...
A principle is a rule that must be adhered to, a value which serves as a guide to how one conducts themselves and makes priorities. It is something you apply all the time, not just in convenient niches.
What I'm saying is that by refuting the possibility of discovery (ANY discovery) you all fit into the "don't qualify" part of the principle... You all just think too small.

I heard the Mongolian Death Worm could do an electrical attack from 6 feet, sometimes closer. Worse than any normal snake. Believed to be another form of tubular life altogether.
I'm Richard Freeman and i led the 2005 expedition to look for the deathworm. We concluded that it existed but its death dealing powers were folkloric. It is probably and unknown species of worm lizard or sand boa. We made a two part film that is available on youtube called Lair of the Red Worm.
This death worm could be many things!
Poisonous snakes, non poisonous snakes, quick sand, dry sand pits, bandits, the list could go on and on!
Its none of those things, its a worm, an actual worm
