    Im getting this laptop mainly for editing. 16 ram is totally worth it when editing

      Can you edit without getting any issues(i mean lagging)?

    This laptop is definitely interesting... Like, I probably won't use this laptop for its intended purpose (web browsing, media consumpting, very light gaming, etc.), but I could see myself using it as a management computer or power- and space-efficient server of some sort with a built-in "KVM".

    • @UndergroundTech
      @UndergroundTech  Рік тому +1

      That's interesting, never really thought about that!

      @@UndergroundTech see, I've been thinking about it for a while 🤣 Probably would be like a test NAS for me. Something to test out new software and/or features before trying it on my eventual main NAS 🤔

    • @UndergroundTech
      @UndergroundTech  Рік тому

      @VictorDoesStuff that's a good idea, but If you're going to use a nas, I wonder if there are even cheaper options with the same storage space or more 🤔

      @VictorDoesStuff Рік тому +1

      @@UndergroundTech Well, the storage aspect is something I'm not too worried about, at least for a test NAS. Hypothetically, if I were to get this laptop as a really power-efficient test NAS, I'd probably just throw in a cheap SATA SSD into that open slot and use that. Otherwise, there are definitely better laptops/computers that will fulfill the same purpose for me at a cheaper price 🤔

      @VictorDoesStuff was never notified about this, but good point, and before you pull the trigger, there's an alldocube laptop with similar specs on sale for $311 FYI (:

    For 395$ this is not worth it mainly because of the CPU
    Or to put it short most phones today have more power then an n5100
    16gb of ram means nothing if your CPU is weak.

      I hear ya,
      The only thing that might be worth checking out is how it does when overclocked
      It goes up to 2.6 ghz I believe

      @@UndergroundTech frequency also means absolutely nothing, there are so many reasons why a CPU with even worse specs on paper can outperform one with theoretically much better specs on paper, CPU's have gotten significantly more efficient every year and a 15w 8 core CPU from even more then a year ago will outperform a 45w 4 core 8 thread CPU from 2019 by a big margin, they have just gotten so much more efficient and are constantly improving at a great rate, also thease are low end CPUS i would recommend to avoid at all costs because of how many corners they cut and their price, this laptop is almost 400$ i just purchased an acer aspire 5 a515-56-36ut with a 28w 2 core 4 thread i3-1115g4 for 220USD open box, the trick is to buy from a 3rd party seller on eBay or such you can get so much better value for your money now obviously do some research make sure the seller is legit but i cannot say this enough you are saving so much money by going that route or refurb or used it all depends on if you care if your device has been used or repaired before but you can save a sh*tton of money doing it that way
      Not to mention that laptop i purchased has 2 SSD slots that you can fully upgrade and a slot to expand the RAM up to over 20gb which for an i3-1115g4 is still overkill, i will personally put 12 into it i have multiple 8 gig sticks laying around and the laptop comes with 4GB built-in, it has a 1080p screen and the i3 processor to put it in perspective is like 10x better and faster than the one in the laptop you reviewed here and you can get it basically new for around 200USD, now i haven't received that laptop yet so i cannot share my own thoughts just yet but i just wanted to mention it that there are significantly better options for so much cheaper! I will personally never get such a low end laptop again i didn't hsve much experience a few years back and dropped 200$ on a 14" cheap chromebook with a very similar dual core amd CPU and 720p screen and it was awful! The laptop itself is ok but the CPU is absolutely terrible! Not to mention if you want more ram or storage as it was only 32gb you are out of luck upgradeableity wise, the CPU couldn't even run games a 50$ phone easily could! You would literally get less then 30 seconds per frame on a game a 7 year old budget samsung j1 2016 with 1 gig if ram could run with ease 30+FPS! absolutely awful! For comparison the i3-1115g4 can handle light gaming and still get over 60-90fps with minimum settings in a lot of gsmes, you may ask " well you don't purchase such a cheap laptop for gaming even with an i3" well that is true, but that is in games so just imagine how much faster web browsing and all the things you do on a laptop imagine how fast it'll be if it shows such a massive gap in games!
      that just goes to show how bad thease "budget" laptops are! Please avoid at all costs! The only reason why i would EVER buy one is if i found it new for like 90$ or less and i didn't care about ram or storage upgradeableity and i wasn't planning on doing anything past web browsing on it as for anything more intensive such laptops are unusable and a straight up scam !

    Why do you keep saying burned screen. These screens are safe for the environment and helps save battery power. Also it's good for preventing on lookers who want to see what you're doing.
