Already did the 'trick' on the motorhousing. figured it myself. saw others put grease there to stop dirt and since i didn't like grease everywhere i tried the tape. works great indeed💪🏻
Those steel diffs are a must have. My rear diff (stock) lasted 3 weeks. The front lasted 5. When i replaced the rear, i went and bought both sets because i knew I'd need them. Got me a HotRC receiver and transmitter, much better than stock SLT3. Those metal pivot balls are worth their weight in gold. Talking about buying a slider: some stock things you don't want anyway. Arrma servos are garbage in my experience. My Granite servo lasted a month. My Felony servo is crapping out after 4 packs and one little crash into a cement pillar 😮 But it's the motors that crap out, not the gears. The gears are metal, and don't strip in my experience (with a decent servo saver) but the motor will start to hiccup. You try and turn and it won't turn until you give it some acceleration, then it'll happen more and more until it stops turning. Nobody wants a stock Arrma servo. The $20 servo on Amazon (DSServo brand) is an improvement on the stock servo. Arrma 3s is a good platform though, and real easy to wrench on. Granite 3s was my first hobby grade, and now I actually like wrenching on it.
Thank you I’m glad u enjoyed it. Please check the rest of the channel out im quite new to it too but It’s a great hobby to have. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.
Nice truck , l like the way you trimmed the body and nice chassis brace! What if you cut out the louvers in the hood with an exacto knife would that help reduce body lift? I have the same truck , the rtr brushless 3s model. I am going to try one of those chassis bags because l am tired of getting the unwanted " rock collection " after every run. Thanks for all the tech tips !
Yes cutting out the Louvers is a great idea I’ll try that… be careful with those chassis bags as they hold the heat in. Scorched RC makes a shied liner I would like to try and maybe you could look into that instead👍 happy bashing..
Isnt that truck actually a Mega 550? I thought the 3s ones had adjustable links.. got a roller that was a Mega converted to 4x4. I threw a 3s redcat motor in it and took a couple teeth off the plastic ring gear first run.. so I upgraded to locked metal slipper full metal cased metal geared diffs and now snapped a motor shaft in the fist 5 min of running it.. It clearly needs a 4s or a 4s that's capable of 6s
Great content … All the best from the UK 🇬🇧
Absolutely fantastic video!! Thank you!

Put lock tight once you find right adjustment and let dry for 2, 3 hrs

And thank you I really appreciate it.
I like what I see I got mine on 6.
More power is always better 😂👍👍
I think the arrma diff set up is stronger because the hole through the middle of the output makes a weak point and also the pins break on traxxas
I agree. The load is not depending on the pin like traxxas.
Just converted my mega to 3s loving it so far 😂
Yesss !! Just keep in mind those diffs are plastic… happy bashing 👍💯

By the way I've already bing watched all your videos 😁 ✌🏻
Thank you 🙏 I really appreciate it.
@@CrownKing-ds8cx You're welcome 👍🏻✌🏻
Hey keep it up bud I look forward to seeing it progress further or the next build.
@@CrownKing-ds8cx 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻✌🏻
I see lots of rigs at our meet ups. I've only seen an Arma once
I’m a big ARRMA fan now. But still cant pick a side lol.
I made a DIY chassis brace out of a steel ruler from harbor freight
Hey I love it man…that’s the wonderful thing about the hobby u build it and it works👍
Oh snap🔥
Thank you.
Make sure to have a little slip in your clutch or you'll be forever snapping driveshafts & stripping diffs.!
Yes I know what it does but I have done more damage to slipper clutches than to anything else… lol
