We all had custom vans in the 70's, What a time!

The middle part of the bed can be used as a bed side table. Put your book, chapstick, lotion etc lol
For the middle gap in the bed, you could totally install a hinged flap to cover the space. So you have options to spread out completely and make it out as a sleeping/bedding platform if you wish to.
Another option once you have that gap closed and leveled as a full platform is to have a small "floor" sitting area. Throw a light rug or tapestry, some flat cushions, maybe a low table and it will make a nice space for tea or seated meditation!

Idea: Build a low strong box under fridge behind drivers seat, to raise fridge a bit and provide a drawer space or cubby for ....??

Replacing that clunky stool with a foldable one from Walmart would help free up lots of space. 😁
You can always tint the rear windows and make it a one way mirror from the outside and have the same view from the inside
Congrats on the next stage of your life. When the title of the channel changed I think it was just the beginning of things to come. Your journey from small vehicle to large vehicle was inspiring. Perhaps one day I'll have to finances to transition to standing height.

Awesome build this far. Here in South Africa we get something that's called "smash-and-grab" which is like a window tint in various shades that will work good for your van. Almost like a one way see through. 🤠
Oh wow here in the US smash and grab is when someone breaks your car window and steals whatever is in your car

Perhaps you could make that center board down from the bed swing upward to more easily reach things in storage. You could have a larch to keep the "door" up while rummaging. 👍

Moving into the truck from the van and motorhome was much easier for me than a lot of people. I was so use to traveling that I forget about home time. some times for over a year. Now I keep a van at the terminal to use if I take hometime.

I found that if u close off your van folks will look in to see what your doing had full curtain behind seats and side door and two moon windows in back folks would look in them if curtain was pulled if open they just walk bye

Also I forgot to tell you how impressed I am with your carpentry skills. This pandemic has been insane and has halted some big plans, but still moving forward on UA-cam. You could always spray your windows on inside black then put up your insulation covers.
I like the reality aspect of your videos. Too much of them are made to look prefab and you can tell a whole lot of money went into those. Yours is more what the common person on a budget would actually have. Btw, you are so beautiful yet so sweet and genuine. Your guy is one lucky guy to have you in his life.

Hi Alexandria, I was wondering if you’ve noticed a difference since you left the roof uncovered. Most people do the plywood roof but since you left it bare did you notice if the van gets hotter or no difference at all? Im planning on doing the same thing to save some headroom.

For your windows you don't have a perminent cover once you tint your windows So that way you can see out and they can't see in
hofferjh I had to pay to have the tint removed bc when they did the job, they accidentally tinted as dark as the limousine shade. It’s too much for me! I missed the true sunlight and also, it’s very hard (for me) to drive at night!! LOL
Rather than tint, I actually really enjoy the removable window covers :)
