Been there done that, but with baby wipes. My wife and I did a complete lap of America, Canada and Alaska for 12 months in a similar size car 25yrs ago. We never met others doing this back then and occasionally police would wake us in the night to check we were ok because we were sleeping in a car, we explained we were travelling the world for a few years living in a car, some offered for us to park in their drive or station and one texan officer reappeared early the next morning on his way home after his shift, with coffee and sandwiches and stayed to chat, will never forget that. Not sure people feel the same way about van lifers now sadly.
I did America in 1980 bumming it in my car. Enjoyed it immensely! I would love to do it again but I am really apprehensive (age & health). The best times of my life, so free and unencumbered. Also meeting other people with the same values and the kindness they extend and the stories they have is a soul - building experience. I wonder how much times have changed. Is there more danger on the road today and do you feel as safe while bumming it? As I'm writing, I'm yearning more and more to get out and hit the road. I love watching these stories. As far as getting clean on the road, where there's a will, there's a way. Thanks for sharing, get out there while you can.

This is your reality and honestly you always look perfect and clean. I purchased a dual purpose deep cycle battery for my truck, it's like 2 batteries in one. I was thinking I could run an electric blanket off that. Take a shower in cold weather and then cover up with a warm electric blanket.

If I were living in a Honda Civic, again, I'd be parking in winter weather outside Hotdog Cave in Alabama. The cave interior is warmer than snow chilled stone outside. Hotdog has a waterfall inside that's cold but clean. My attire is blended wool. Cofra thermic Italian boots . Cotton kills. Wool warms if damp. I usually reverse gear up to the entry to catch any expelled cave air for its warmth on the Honda body. It resembles a moist fog. You can't have fires in caves as the smoke concentration would be dangerous. If you simply walk within caves in winter its easier to stay warm than outside. I've seen 30 states with caves in them.
Hmmm - thank you for the tip, about the caves!!! And, I agree - even when wool is damp or wet, it's so much warmer than a lot of other materials. You should give us a list of the caves! Thanks!!!
Girl as a otr truck driver I heated my water with a coffee maker, but I sure wish I thought about the pressure washer and nozzle technique! That was creative. I used a basin, a 5 gallon bucket, and like 4-7 washcloths, I would sometimes I would use a spray bottle, to dampen all of my skin. Yes it is so possible to thoroughly cleanse your body living OTR Some drivers don't keep good hygiene, but that is a CHOICE. I stayed fresh all the time, still, there is nothing like a nice shower, when all you do is turn on the water and the temperature stays right and there is no water limit. I was inspired by thinking of camping and ancestors had to do it before they had running water. It's not ridiculous, it's resourceful.

I saw a car hit the deer 🦌 and keep going!
I was smiling throughout this whole video. You have a great personality for these videos!! Hope you guys are having some great adventures!
You are a brave, determined and innovative young couple.
Don’t believe the haters!
You and your BF are adventurous. Great stories to tell your grandchildren! Blessings!
BS. Get out there and work. Live within your means, save money, and then do it the right way.
Good to know she has a guy with her.
I watch too much horror movies to ever consider sleeping in a car in the wilderness😒
It's super fun I love to be able to take the risk be able to move and youd be surprised people actually get even scared of anyone sitting in a vehicle. I find it that people give you more respect
Watch fewer horror movies
I think sleeping in a car in der wilderness is a lot safer than in a city actually. Fewer people = less danger.
That's why god made guns, bro!
@@0FynnFish0 good for a crazy person to do crazy things to unsuspecting car dwellers too, coz nobody’s going to be there to help you
Good for you! So smart and resourceful getting your needs met! Hope your travels have been wonderful.
This is your reality and honestly you always look perfect and clean.
I purchased a dual purpose deep cycle battery for my truck, it's like 2 batteries in one. I was thinking I could run an electric blanket off that. Take a shower in cold weather and then cover up with a warm electric blanket.
What a great idea! Thanks...I just ordered a great one for hubby for his bed, but he prefers his Green Bay blanket from our daughter. Lol....I am just going to snatch it up to use for my van conversion. I am really going to enjoy it! Have a great day!
I'm looking into this, as well. I have discovered that there are small, portable water heaters, which hook up to propane tanks, and for their ignition, one of the plugs plug into the car cigarette lighter
Everyone should learn these basic survival skills. Love the set up!
I gotta say this too, you guys are going places! Doing things like this and smiling and having a positive out look on things like this.
The title should be - "How I QUARANTINE inside a Honda Civic" !
Nick Hersheys Thats me in my 2019 nissan!!!!! Its awesome!!!!!
Cari Chaos you hanging in there alright?
"guess I'm tryna see the world or something and I'm broke" lol exactly how livin in a van feels.
I have to say genius idea nice work... glad I seen this put a smile on my face and solved 1 of my problems if or when I deside to do the same in a small car ....
This was quirky and adventurous and interesting to me!
I’ve thought about using the trunk but I was thinking it was a little too cold tbh
Girl you inspire ME! Thank you for your putting your chanel up and giving love:)
I remember being homeless and struggling to hold a job. Having to live in my Nissan Versa was brutal, especially winter time, but the hot summers were equally as challenging with the influx of vampire bugs. I wouldn't have ever thought of doing what you do with bathing in a car.
Oh my I had a versa they are a small car! Hopefully your luck has changed for the better
@@Kelly-qv3wg For the time being, yes.
If I was homeless, I'd just get a gym membership and shower there. The difficult part is getting quarters for the laundromat for clean clothes
OMGGG I’m literally sleeping in my Nissan Versa right now ! I was meant to see this comment
@@katnguyen9746 get a workout and a daily shower...that's actually a brilliant strategy !
"It is a little silly, but life is silly" Love that!!
This type of content is great for the simple fact that some people just never think of these things especially when getting started in something like van or car living...
Just loving the courage and ingenuity, proving when there’s a will there’s a way. It’s all about how willing are you to do things differently. Thank you for sharing ❤️
Most sensible comment on here. I love how free they are and doing what looks insane to others in order to live their dream. It works for them....I love it.
I lived in a Kia Soul for 1+ year, and THIS? is *the most* ridiculous thing I have ever seen.
Loved every second, I use the pet pool and the same kind of weed sprayer. In an Opel astra and i am 55 lol
She’s really pretty
Pretty and low maintenance
Pretty adventurous.....
Yes! She’s beautiful 🌸
@Indians Auto 😂😂😂😂 smh
👍
That ain’t a shower that’s a sponge bath.
True
what ever gets a girl clean, my friend!
Wonderful.., and doable
The water sprays. I say its a shower.
Whatever its better than smelling like a warthog
"Beautiful, but Freezin" - I LOVE IT!! Not silly at all. A frugal resolution.
Painful process - makes me want to definitely get a Class B RV!
I had to live in my car for 5 years, it was a nightmare. In a lot of areas it's considered illegal camping that's a 350.00 fine. I just have one thing to say. Good Luck!
that is why she sleeps in wilderness
have you ever gotten a fine in 5 years?
Get some eyelashes. (&hide a lot)
This is just for show, to make extra money from youtube, Patreon, PayPal, and Amazon links. They actually live in a nice big house.
This was great. I love it! The fact you make this work is pretty amazing.
Are you going to get an off grid tiny home? (That’s what I want to do now, one that’s pulled by a Tesla.)
They totally should
Or maybe try to live on tesla. If i cann get a tesla. I WOULD REALLY FVCKING TRY THAT
I really love your vlogs. Been repeatedly watching your old vids because I just like them 😅. Keep safe though.
hahah appreciate it :) glad you enjoy the videos !
@@HoboAhle 🤩 thanks for the reply. Really appreciated this ❤ what I like most about your vlogs is that its raw and real. I tried to watch other van life vlogs also but they're just too scripted. Thanks again 😍 and take care both you and jonathan 🤗
Wow, small area. But, look at it this way...there are tens of millions of people that have no freedom and in a small
place as the inside of your car...but they don't have the most precious gift that you have...your FREEDOM. You guys
are way ahead of the game. You are blessed...plus...you have one another and in good health. Wow...
This is so interesting!❤️😆 how do you straighten your hair?/how do you use devices that need electricity in general? (I get that the phone can be charged in the car but I mean laptops or a hair dryer.)
I see a description of a girl who showers in a Honda Civic, naturally I click.
A simple man of course
@@isaiahramirez8476 lol, yes , a simple man who likes all things Honda, and girls, and showers, and girls who shower, because I may be a simple man, but I don't dig dirty chicks.
A man of culture
Stop being a simp bro....
Rosco P Coltrane true
Girl , you’re amazing, that pool is just genius !
This was totally weird and I loved it!
Used car buyer: what did you typically use the car for?
Seller: just for normal daily commute. Oh and sometimes grocery shopping..
i used to live in a buick rendezvous 4 years ago,,for the whole year too, and by experiencing it to you will become ingenious with what you have ,,kudos to you, stay safe
LMAO “ I’m like tryna see the world or something and I’m Broke” keeping it 💯
This actually Saves a lot in water lol..GOD Loves you .Stay blessed
You guys are amazing! What a great adventure you are having!
If I were living in a Honda Civic, again, I'd be parking
in winter weather outside Hotdog Cave in Alabama.
The cave interior is warmer than snow chilled stone
outside. Hotdog has a waterfall inside that's cold
but clean. My attire is blended wool. Cofra thermic
Italian boots . Cotton kills. Wool warms if damp.
I usually reverse gear up to the entry to catch any
expelled cave air for its warmth on the Honda body.
It resembles a moist fog. You can't have fires in caves
as the smoke concentration would be dangerous. If
you simply walk within caves in winter its easier to
stay warm than outside. I've seen 30 states with caves
in them.
Hmmm - thank you for the tip, about the caves!!! And, I agree - even when wool is damp or wet, it's so much warmer than a lot of other materials.
You should give us a list of the caves! Thanks!!!
Just looked on Google Maps - I do not find "hotdog" cave, but find a ton of other caves in Alabama. I'll look at all of them!!! Interesting idea!!!
super impressed that you two can live in such close quarters for so long, lol.
Yes it is so possible to thoroughly cleanse your body living OTR
Some drivers don't keep good hygiene, but that is a CHOICE. I stayed fresh all the time, still, there is nothing like a nice shower, when all you do is turn on the water and the temperature stays right and there is no water limit.
I was inspired by thinking of camping and ancestors had to do it before they had running water.
It's not ridiculous, it's resourceful.
Next video: How to do laundry, dry and iron clothes inside a Honda Civic while cooking a gourmet meal.
No problem, the stove goes into the manual compartment ;))))
Girl your cooler then Ice Cold.. thanks for the informative facts and fun of car camping, fan for life..
The guy is smart. When he told her his technique, She was like really? Lmaooooo...reminds me of life back in Africa. Awesomeeeee
