I'd much rather lose a $10 crank rather than $170 pole 😂
EraseMeWhole would you rather lose 17 10 dollar baits or a 170$ rod
Northern Hunting Would you rather lose 17 $10 lures or risk losing 17 $170 rods?
EraseMeWhole wtf just happend?^
BlizzardHockey4432 I made a good point 😂
EraseMeWhole bro ur awesome
Be sure to buy rod sleeves to protect your rod so that you can send the rod sailing into a tree to save a $5 lure.
itsdonenow Haha, I figured same thing
If you do that while bank fishing and it doesnt work. Your totally screwed. Lol
itsdonenow thought the same thing😂😂😂😂
itsdonenow it's just a suggestion
Lol so true
Hack #1 protect your rod
Hack #4 throw your rod at a tree 😂😂😂
Carlos Espinoza i literally laughed out loud!
kid fucking threw it like he was spear fishing for his first meal while stranded on an island hahahaha.
hahahaha perfect analogy
Carlos Espinoza I was thinking the same thing lol dumbest shit I've seen yet.
That was a nice rod until he broke it.
Carlos Espinoza 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂are u sure ur gonna do dat?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂
2:09 "becketbewll hoop"
_ claytown 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hux ler Lmfaooo
Hux ler I can't stop laughing
Hux ler lol
Hux ler
"Dont want to hurt your big investment in a fishing rod? get a rod sleeve!" "Dont wana loose a $7 lure? WHIP THAT FUCKING ROD INTO IT AND BUST IT OFF THE TREE WHO CARES"
Exploring Michigan lmfao literally hahaha
Tried number 4 broke my rod...
I think he did too 😂 Pro's call it "I hope I don't break my tip" trick.
ahahahah
MR-FLIP I broke my 150$ rod doing it
Why would you throw your rod seems crazy
Did you put your rod sleeve on...
Number 4 kinda defeats number 1
leo pena hahaha I know right
yeah
leo pena how about you put the sleeve on before he throws the rod like a javelina 😂
Save a 5$ lure for a 2-300$ rod:)
leo pena and if your line breaks or the lure doesn't come free you loose your rod.
for number 4 what if u throw it and it dos,ent come unstuck ,how do u get ur rod back
King_rome138 you don't that's the trick lol
King_rome138 gone forever
King_rome138 you gotta get wet I guess
King_rome138 u reel up the crank bait they won't go the the eyelits and ur rod will come back with the crank bait
Fishnfreak04 I think he means if the lure doesn't come unstuck
He definitely broke his rod
lose/break a 200 $ rod for A 5 $ crankbait very wise indeed.
Connor Beck I actually did not during this video but it has happened off camera.
just put a rod sleeve on it when you throw it! XD
yeah I would never throw my rod like that, if I got caught on the side of a tree obviously I'm not having any good luck and would most likely be swimming to get my rod back. I do like your line popping technique though
losing a 8$ lure vs losing my 150$ rod.... wonder what I'm gonna let go lol
I thought you broke your rod at first when you threw it at the tree when you started walking away 😂😂😂
Dom 22 he did 😐😑
fuck launching my rod across a river into a tree! ain't happening, I'd rather lose a lure than a rod
Leon Scott Do it only if your feel comfortable of course.. Common sense should tell your anytime your throwing your rod across water is risky
Leon Scott if you had a a rig then throwing the rod makes sense
Here's a real tip from an old pro. When you have a stuck lure in current let some line out and let it float downstream. Close you bail and whip the rod, it will pull the lure from the back side. It doesn't work every time but will work more than not.
Imautoober Shooter that works for me it's a good tactic
another tip on hooks buy stainless steel hooks and coat them with cooking oil. i never had a rod protector and have rods that are 30 years old and still use them, lol a old tie would work for that if you must have one.
Or use the plastic bottle technique
Done that and it works.
Sometimes
Tip for rust as well, keep those silicone things found in new shoes, beef jerky, etc etc. and put them in your separate tackle boxes, silicone absorbs moisture (that's why they put them in shoes) and will dry your lures out (water causes the rust)
i havent watched your videos in like 5 years, puberty hit you like a truck!!!
what a fucking weirdo
minimonkey969 true
minimonkey969 ikr
@@Alopez957 i mean he is right tho
Did your rod break when you did hack number 4? Lol your reaction makes it look like you did and the rod looked like it broke.
David Nava No it didn't that time, but yes it can be risky..
Bigbassmaster1 is it worth the risk in your opinion ?
Id do it but only on a cheaper rod! anything thats like 5 dollars and up isnt worth breaking over a 5 dollar crankbait if you get what im saying haha. so basically none of my rods i would do that i would just get a new crankbait
David Nava no he did not think it would work
He looked pissed 😂😂😂😂
Another good one to keep rust from forming is to keep some of those bead bags (the ones in jerky, new shoes, etc..) in your tackle box to absorb any extra moisture
Another way to remove a snag is by reeling your line really really tight, and then hit the bale, works almost every time. if your fishing for smaller fish with a hook and bobber use 20 pound line and thin hooks so you and pull hard and the hook will bend and straighten out. usually you will lose you bait, but sometimes you can use the hook again if you bend it back with pliers.
•Gets $5 crankbait stuck in tree
•Takes reel off and throws the whole pole at the tree lmao
Lol what a dumbass! So damn stupid.
Really did help me I purchased one of those heavy lead lure retrievers that you send down your line used it and got s couple of krrs back but it's messy heavy and eventually was a bigger pain ti used that getting my old lures back. Kind of excited to try these techniques out
The rod throw!!! Brilliant!!
How to fix a bait casting reel from getting birds nests: buy a spinning reel.
Ian's Channel Amen. Spinners for the win.
Ian's Channel or just not get one like a noob
Ian's Channel spinning reels are for pussies.
Bob Baker Spinning reels are better.
candelario cardenas yeah if you love line twists and zero accuracy!
Hack #1 another way to this is not jam it into your truck 😂
Love Flambeau. It's the only boxes my gear goes into. The Zrust works wonders. Good hacks.
I gotta say, the rod throw trick is actually kinda cool, kinda risky, but still pretty cool.
Listen to how he says basketball hoop at 2:08
Mitchell Simmons OMG he
Baket ball hoop
Him: "This sleeve will protect your rods"
Also him: 3:23
Lol
3 and 4 are cool .
Oklahoma City Bass Fishing don't do 4 you'll break your rod.
can you use trick 3 & 4 if u have a spin combo?
Sher Lee you could buy #4 is bush and you will lose not only your lure but your rod too
Sher Lee of course u can do the same take off reel and throw expensive rod and hope to god the rod doesn't break
Sher Lee yes you can but *DON'T DO IT . YOU WILL LOSE YOUR ROD*
I would suggest float fishing with a spinning reel for Roach with a single tare, test Cricket, reading Proust, listening to all of Handel's operas back to back and sipping Muscadet- good for the blood pressure.
that vid helps alot and I have fished with bait casters fo at least 2 years
Dude....! Tip #4!!!!! Are you kidding me!!!!! That was AWESOME!!!!! 👍
Vincent Edwards not awesome when you break your rod
An easy tip to not get memory in your baitcaster.... use braid not mono lmfao
Big facts cranking is the only time I dont use braid
braid is crap. cant cast as far and who wants to hear the sound of braid going out or in.
@@moekhn really? I can throw braid farther, and that sound is relaxing. Like poppin open a can or drag slippin
@@jaycollum2476 to everyone their own! lol
@@jaycollum2476 what is far to you? cuz i can toss 3/8oz over 140 ft .. i can pitch it 80ft without trying
I just use silica gel packs in each of my boxes. They seem to be doing a good job of preventing rust
Separating your tackle out like that is a great idea, I go one further by taking empty ziploc bags out with me and my used and wet tackle each goes back into a separate ziploc bag. When I get home, I take them all out, wash and rinse them and once dry, they can be repaired if needed or put back into the right bag with the others.
Hack #4.... What if the rod gets stuck also???
Throw the reel
Better drive the boat into the tree
Is anyone still hear just to watch him break is rod?
Really like your obstruction snag release idea!
You need to put hooks on a safety pin through the eye of the hook
I do this too. Also throw a pair of nail clippers in tackle box, they are cheap and great for cutting line.
Throw your rod at the lure?!? Crazy! ha ha
Great tips, taking the reel off the rod is a new one I will remember in a worst case scenario.
3:04 I don't know why but I laughed "can you see my crankbait out there on the tree"
Actually tried #4 in one of my videos. Actual worked supeisingly!
THANK YOU ON THE HOW TO LOOSEN STUCK LURES!!!!
I put my new bait casting rod in a 3/4 inch PVC pipe, after sleeving the rod...In my case it fits only up the the trigger handle just pass the reel seat.. Good enough for me to protect the most vulnerable part of the rod.
I think any plastic containers with zip lock bags will prevent rust. But the snap snag. I used tonight worked good a few times but I learned it 2 weeks ago.
i keep a few of those desiccant packs in my tackle box to keep moisture down
Good hacks. Thanks for sharing. One idea,I guess this might work, add one or two of the little dry packs for the moisture. But I will check out that box.
your hacks help me ALOT!!
you sir are a gift to man kind
Hey there I don't fish much and I thought this was really helpful. Thanks for the knowledge.
thanks for the tips.
I don’t even fish but you have a good channel
3:19 .... Accualy when your rod tip hits the *WATER* it will stop . Boom lost ur rod and ur lure . Thanks for the tips !
Tip 4 was awesome
Solid tips!
Does the tacklebox On number five include all of the tackle inside whenever you purchase it?
very helpful!
Fishing The Southeast no . Not at all
Very helpful! I will definitely try some of those!
that do u do when u through your rod and it dont get there
Marquintuz Walker then u drive your trolling motor to it like your suppose to in the first place
Wildlife Hunter Not everyone has a boat dickass.
what is your shore fishing XD
Dickass...love it and yea I don't got 12 grand
Hey! Love your vids! Caught a 4-pounder, two 3s, and some dinks of the Storm WildEye Live, Size 2", Crappie tonight!
Got 'em from Walmart earlier today and my friend and I were catching fish almost every cast!
TheEpicSidekicker how do you fish them?Like what setup and stuff
I was using an old 7-foot medium action rod with my brother's cheap Zebco spinning reel with 12-pound mono. I kinda just grabbed a random rod from my garage and tied it on. Probably not the best setup for this though.
My friend was using a medium-heavy ugly stick with 50 pound braid on his bait-caster. He caught a 4 and a half and a few three's also.
Cole I want a rod and reel
I like chatterbaits crankbaits plastic worms jerk baits swim baits
I only want 1 rod 1 reel ..... no pun intended
Just contract the rod. Thats all to it. And also put on head protection piece on the rod so when it keeps bumping it wont get damaged.
you can put powder solvent for cleaning rust on firearms on a paper towel and put in your tackle box. works great for rust
For rust you could try lemon oil to clean hooks with and those little silica packs that absorb water in your cases with hooks. That's what I do anyways. Never had a rusty hook.
Life hack for loose tooth step 1 tie fishing line on tooth step 2 take your rod and throw it and it will hit the tooth there you go life is much easier
3:24 snaps rod gonna be trying it today when I get stuff lol
Amazing!
hey first time watching one of your videos and I loved it.. those hacks on getting your snag out we're pretty good I have a technique almost like that that I use when I fish the bank that gets my snags out, I pull my rod tight and let the cast out but the one you showed looked for effective, thumbs up
Just a helpful btw. In the description the number for the last 2 techniques are both 4 and I thing it is suppose to be 4 and 5. Great vid! Helped me a lot!!!!!
With #2 you can also run warm water over your line for a couple of minutes,or if you're on a boat let your line hang off the back with no weight on it and make a couple passes down the lake
Wow this video is 2 years ago your cool af my man ganna subscribe
for water you can also add a small bag of rice and put the wet hooks on it or the little Bags that come with shoes they help with moisture
Great video!
good video man, well def help out..
I've seen others do that rod trick to release a stuck lure. Usually works. You're not going to lose the rod because you have the line in hand from the reel to the lure.
You you sure won’t loose it but you sure will break a $200 fishing rod.
Great and innovative video. I have learned something from it. Thank you buddy!
wow you r a genious throw your high dollar rod in the water saving a five dollar lure.....thx for the great tip
Hey man, do you like to use BOOYAH Pad Crashers?
Samuel got yourself some?
no I don't, I was just asking to see if they were a good investment, or if I should try a different brand.
Live target hollow body frogs are arguably the best holly body frog on the market. That being said they are also fairly expensive.
I use them and they walk fine and I get blowups however I haven't landed any since I'm still new to frogging
Only frogs I buy. Tried a lunkers with the retracting legs, its too heavy for my preference.
Keep up the good work
4 was bomb never thought of that
very interesting... cuz I just list my favorite lure...(crankbait)
what if you try to do hack number 4 i the water and it did not work and get out of the rock
Fishing sleeves aren't life hacks they are something you buy
Tip #2 I do that on a Boat Idling Ill set my line in the water and trail it around and then pick up speed to stretch it out
I like the 4 hack :P
I’ve tried doing the take the reel off the rod trick and throw it and When I threw my rod it snapped my kind and I lost my lure and my rod
does the box co.e with all the hooks and stuff
Hack #4 priceless
That rod dart shot hack was boss af!!
thanks for the hacks
does the tackle come with the box he showed?
Good stuff
Pretty cool bro.
#1 protect your rod few steps later proceeds to detach reel and spartan spear chuck that thing at the tree
Rod sleeves the condom of fishing
Landon MCCarty but it makes the pull out easier lol
That bmx Guy even if a quickie wrap that dickie
That bmx Guy that's absolute crap
An alternative to throwing your rod:
Hold the rod a straight up( so fishing line is like a zip line) attach a weight to snap swivel and send weight towards lure
Great tips and enjoyed the video Lol good work!
Hack number three did work for me.
Good vid dude!
What if when you throw your rod at your snagged lure it doesn't do anything then it's stuck down there and then your line breaks
Make sure you protect your rods with sleeves so you can use the rod as an arrow later
