Absolutely flawless work! One of the greatest albums out there imo. I'm pretty sure some of the tracks were on the back burner. He literally worked on a lot of these songs years before The Fragile actually came to be. Simply a man perfecting something for the future during his earlier work.
@@ZERXERZANZIGER Right ! After listening to the The Fragile: Deviations kinda bugs me he never added some of those tracks to the Fragile, prob woulda ended up being a 3 disc album. But I dont know what Trent did but it really is one of The best albums, every track blended together perfectly and no track felt like a filler. Simply fukin great from start to finish.
Its ALMOST impossible to talk about how good this is! 💯😎 Everyone who heard it and it HIT... started a band, started writing lyrics, or wanted to be a producer. 💯💯
As someone else said, wrong lyrics. The song is about falling apart, while trying to keep it together. More specifically, about clinging desperately to a relationship and trying to keep it together despite all odds being against it.
I actually got to witness them play We’re In This Together on the With Teeth tour in Manchester. It’s been played live less than five times (Manchester, Lisbon, the OSR secret show being the ones I know of) as it’s notoriously difficult for Trent to sing.
Man i was at my lowest when I started listening to nin. I heard of them before but really got into them later on. Would listen to this song especially when I would skate across town going no where fast. Just to keep myself busy after being laid off.
This song becomes so much more emotionally potent when you know the whole story of the album. Also one of the best vocal performances of all time in my opinion.
READ >>>> This is the most intense NIN track i’ve heard since first hearing “Somewhat Damaged”… What do you think this song means lyrically? EDIT: You just watched me give a full analyzation of High School Musical Lyrics because I somehow didn’t realize my quick search result was incorrect… This is the single funniest thing i’ve ever seen. I’m realizing this now hours later :) Welcome to the shit show.
Yes, whoever didn't care for it didn't finish it or they didn't see that its the only album ever made that gets better and better the more you listen to it. During the Fragility tour he did his older songs better than ive ever heard them to this day. The Fragile stands alone and is above the rest of the best from other bands. I love some great bands. Pink Floyd to Alice in Chains
Thank you for getting into the lyrics! So many reactors are just pumping out reactions that are frustrating because they don’t even listen to the lyrics. News alert! The people who request and watch reactions are fans. So we know when you’re faking it and we see when you ignore lyrics! It’s not only about sonic value or the skin color of the reactor vs the artist. Anyway, thanks for doing it real.
Jerome Dillon’s drumming is on point. It’s one of the few songs he actually contributed drums to in the studio; rather than just being the live drummer during the Fragility Tour & very early With Teeth shows.
Broo I remember your reaction to Somewhat Damaged! Didn't realize it's been 3yrs passed haha great vid on this one, The Fragile album from NIN has some of their best work in my opinion from the writing and instrumentation together. Definitely do more from there if able and keep up the great work man!
Oh and speaking of evil sounding tracks from NIN if you wanna hear one of the most villainous sounding tunes from them check out "Pilgrimage" it's like the anthem for hell opening up lmao it's also from their album The Fragile.
I can't believe he listened to the whole song and then read lyrics that of some other song, and had absolutely no doubt in his mind that THOSE couldn't be THAT songs lyrics. Like, didn't you pick up any lyrics from the song at all buddy? Not even the chorus?
OK GREAT COMMENT, so I recently found out that there are different types of mental listeners. Some people get a good mix of both lyrics / instrumentals, some people hyperfocus on lyrics and patterns, and some people hyperfocus on feel / instrumentals / grand scheme. And I am 100% the latter. Until I go and read lyrics, 90% of the time they’re unapparent to me aside from obvious clean vocal breaks. The vocals (as an instrument) sound as ambient as the instruments do in the grand sound of the song. I swear it’s been a thing my whole life. Everyone sounds as jumbled as Eddie Vedder to me. Maybe ADHD? Because it’s a NIN song with a lot of intense scrambled effects and intensity, my brain couldn’t focus on anything other than the beat and rhythms I was getting into / focusing on. And I was loving it so much, that’s all I was holding onto. I googled “we’re all in this together” by accident, and the immediate result was High School Musicals’ “We’re all in this together” and it didn’t have the artist at the header. With my brain under the assumption I had pretty much not retained any lyrics, and the pressure of keeping myself together on camera, I didn’t even think twice for a split second. And did a FULL review of HSM lyrics. I personally think it’s hilarious, and i’ve learned my lesson in hindsight LOL. I actually said “let’s go wild cats”… Unironically…
Lmfaoooooo this is hilarious “I kinda get this sarcastic tone of this lyrics” HAHAHAHAHA but seriously tho, you should check out The Big Come Down from this album, really intense as well
I enjoyed this reaction, but when I went looking for the mentioned Somewhat Damaged video, it's not on this channel and doesn't even appear in a wider UA-cam search. Where can I find that?
My favourite NIN album, and I love them all, but this one has a special place in my heart...
Dude... the ENTIRE DOUBLE ALBUM is this good. It may be one of the best *things* ever recorded.
I agree

"THE FRAGILE" 💯💯💯💯😎😎😎😎

There’s some filler on it, but overall, yes, it’s absolutely amazing and definitely the best thing Trent’s ever done
Its ALMOST impossible to talk about how good this is! 💯😎
Everyone who heard it and it HIT... started a band, started writing lyrics, or wanted to be a producer. 💯💯
He's like The DaVinci of music. Nowhere near enough appreciation for his art. I Love Reptile
Amazing song
This song slaps so hard.
9 inch nails is FOREVER!!!
The fragile is the best album from nin for me
As someone else said, wrong lyrics. The song is about falling apart, while trying to keep it together. More specifically, about clinging desperately to a relationship and trying to keep it together despite all odds being against it.
Those lyrics you read were not the lyrics of the song you just listened to lol
I actually got to witness them play We’re In This Together on the With Teeth tour in Manchester. It’s been played live less than five times (Manchester, Lisbon, the OSR secret show being the ones I know of) as it’s notoriously difficult for Trent to sing.
I make lots of music videos to this band. So thankful for this album.
Man i was at my lowest when I started listening to nin. I heard of them before but really got into them later on. Would listen to this song especially when I would skate across town going no where fast. Just to keep myself busy after being laid off.
lol, I remember initially being disappointed when this first came out, but I grew to really love it and the rest of the album over the years
My guy, your reaction reminds me of hearing this when my buddy played it for me the first time when it came out! Love it!
Cheers!
This song becomes so much more emotionally potent when you know the whole story of the album. Also one of the best vocal performances of all time in my opinion.

That’s actually hilarious 😂
I don't know what he was scribbling about but he was rocking it.
HAH

Saw them on tour for this album. AMAZING!

the tone on that tom is so sick.

Listen to the whole double. Straight thru.if.... you wanna hear something amazing
Life changing....feel it bruh

The best ending ever!

Love the reaction, but those are not the lyrics.
The Fragile imo is his best work. Love that album.
