Been wearing and ordering since I was 17....now 28. I have never been disappointed and have never been treated with such kindness and care....Bowhill and Elliott at Herring are...to their core... the very definition of quality, pride in their work and craftsmanship... How long do they last?

@@miles2378 If you take care of them properly, i.e. shoe trees, brushing off the velvet... (If you plan to wear these as formal wear, or like me... most days ... don't plan to wear them out if it's going to rain, get them wet,etc... Common sense)
I have yet, in 18 years of ordering, ANY reason to throw a pair out (first pair still in good condition).

It is no doubt good shoe brand. But I have no idea why he said "Our shoes are finest in the market". What we just saw in the process is glued construction. The upper and the sole of the finest shoes are all hand stitched.
