Some cracking examples of some really nice trucks there. Real pride in not only the restoration but ensuring they continue to look their best whilst being working trucks 👌
Some real nice trucks big respect to the people that saved them and are still looking out for them ive got an old f88 thats a left hooker absolute dream to drive to.keep the good work up nipper top channel pal.
love the old 143 scania trucks. way ahead of their time back when they came out, they made the 'VULVA' F12 globetrotters look like caves on wheels. i was just a kid and seat hogging with my dad, but those days were fantastic. great video pal.
Hi nipper matey 👍 it's mark from Wirral Merseyside 👍 i really enjoyed watching this UA-cam video and showing the other trucks in the yard longline Scania very nice truck. And your MacLean truck is still a very nice truck and for the Scania 143 they are very nice trucks aswell even 30 years down the line, and just like you said old is gold big tang🤙👋. Anyway nipper matey i really really enjoy watching your UA-cam videos on trucks and it's very much appreciated 👍👍 big tang 👋🤙🤙👋 keep up the great work and i really cannot wait for your next UA-cam videos to come out.. thanks from mark from the Wirral Merseyside 👍👍🤙🤙👋👋
Some lovely trucks in your yard there. The 143 Streamline to me is the iconic truck. When I was a kid we'd spend a lot of time up north for hill walking and climbing and such, and would always stay with Ray and Helen at the Rhichonich hotel, and a lot of that was before the new road was in, so all the trucks leaving the market down in Kinlochbervie would go along the single track road right past the window. The Loch Clash 143's were smart but nothing compared to the Norscot International one in pristine white with full aero kit. As a 6 or 7 year old I was absolutely fascinated by them, and their sound. Great memories of wandering around the trucks up there at the time when there was still a reasonable fishing industry and the markets were heaving multiple times a week, and of course without too much worry of health and safety it meant you could chat to the fishermen and drivers without being chased away by some overzealous harbour master!
Hi nipper the wee tour round stoddarts yard brought memories back . I remember delivering a new liebheir crane many years ago and seen all the scanias and cranes in the yard and remember that wee mk 2 golf back then loved the golf had 2 myself they were like trains on rail's held the road very well even when your right foot was heavy great car . Love that double drive long scania you dont see many of them on the road but a few years ago on holiday in Australia i visited a truck company in perth w Australia that had 25 of them and they were being used as truck trains what a beautiful display that was i remember being offered a job and came very close to accepting the job offer . At the time i was driving from motherwell to milan italy every week and i had got a brand new volvo and was happy doing European work but i did think about fhat job offer in western Australia love your video and keep up the great restoration work nipper
nipper when I lived in peebles and worked for Dalkeith transport the first wagon I drove was a 6 legger ERF with an eaton twin splitter and it used to have a cattle float body on it but he changed it to a curtain sided body with a cantilever tail lift, empty was a bitch but fully freighted a dream to drive 😂😂
That yellow 143 is simply stunning nipper..... Sounds perfect None of this ott straight pipe crap Sounds raw just as a 143 with eminox stacks should do Great video again pal 👍
Have you seen or heard of the 8 leg Scania that had a fassie 173t MTR cran on back. Was used by a company called Sharon patason based in Hull. Thay got caught trafficking drugs in flower trailers from abroad. It had a fifth wheel but could only pull an empty one due to axle weight. It could only pull with a dolly. It was nearly the length of a 8leg tipper. Very impressive walk around...... Took me back with the ERF .....loved the 3over 4 Hshift..... But up to now my best lorry IV looked after at work was a daf85 extended for beaver tail with cheese wedge ramps and 26t MTR crane on......at 380 plated at 26gross......she was a train.....
Great video, nipper. Some lovely lorries at that show and those 143"s in that yard were amazing. But the star of the yard for me was the mighty Foden wrecker. Shame we didn't get to see more of her. Is it a Rolls Royce powered version?
Id of happily took time off work and paid you to drive that back from Scotland nipper Used to drive my uncles 113 and 142 around the industrial estates back in late 80s early 90s at aged 12 😂 Its definitely in the blood when the seed gets planted so young as at 45 years old still trucking 🚚
Hey Nipper. Great video and some lovely gems in that yard. Have you got a contract email to get in touch with you. There's a set of eminox stacks in our yard gathering dust.
