@@dannymiller1594 I was getting ready to buy the Sentry ADSB puck to utilize all of ForeFlight features. I will have a GTN 750. Does ForeFlight connect to GTN 750 via Bluetooth and share all features to include sharing flight plans? Just confirming I do not need Flightstream. .
@@BSnydr Check your Pilot's Guide. I have the G3X system so I pair my devices (iPad & GTN650) thru that without a Flightstream. Without the G3X, you may need the Flightstream.
If I have a 430W and Garmin 330es for ADSB Out, can I install 210 and use it same time I'm using stratus if I don't have the 345? I would use bluetooth for FS and then wifi for Stratus so both can connect same time? I don't want to have to disconnect foreflight from Stratus ADSB traffic in to be able to use flightstream 210.
Did you ever find this out? It's where I am with a plane I bought. Has 330ES and 430W and I use FF and a Sentry. I assumes that the ADS-B could still come from Sentry on WiFi, but it's the double connection to ForeFlight that I'm interested in.
Could not agree more - particularly for experimental installations. Anytime Garmin has the sole solution, this is the kind of pricing you can expect. I love the Garmin hardware I have owned, but I don’t love the price gouging. I’m not aware of any other solution at the moment.
Can anybody confirm that the flight plan transfer works with the flightstream 110? All of the shady garmin and dealer marketing implies that you need a 210 or 510 for flight plans, but I haven't found any manuals or anything that explicitly says the 110 cannot do flight plan transfers (At least upload from tablet to the avionics)
If I am connected between ForeFlight and my 175, I can send a FLIGHTPLAN from ForeFligth to the 175. If I make a change on ForeFlight, I can send it to the panel, I Activate the new plan on the 175, but then it tries to create a loop where now the ForeFight comes up and asks if I want to update my ForeFlight plan from my 175! Not sure how to stop this!
Hi +TomVaillencourt , unfortunately there is no software update for the legacy non-WAAS GNS systems to support the Flight Stream 210 and the flight plan transfer function (for reference: buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/prod153681.html)
Why will nobody address the compatibility of this with the Garmin G3X Touch as the "gateway" instead of the flight stream? Garmin says, "Foreflight has everything they need to make it work", and Foreflight seems to say, "We can push via Garmin's bluetooth wireless gateway", which the G3X Touch also provides....can someone test it??
Hi +Brian Thompson , ForeFlight Mobile does support two-way flight plan transfer with the Garmin G3X Touch display. However, for ADS-B weather and traffic you would still need a GDL 84 or 88 + Flight Stream combination as we don't currently support the GDL 39 R. Another route to access that information is via the portable Stratus.
+ForeFlight Thank you! I will try it out tomorrow- can you confirm what Foreflight/G3X version is required? Are their plans to support the GDL39R? I asked Garmin and they said Foreflight has all the information they need to code for that- I won't be adding the GDL88 as it's an unnecessary expense/weight
@@foreflight This is NOT true. I have a G3X Touch, GDL39R, & GNS430W. The iPad and 39R are paired with the G3X and the 430W is my external navigator hard wired to the G3X. You do not need a 210. The procedure is in the G3X Pilot user manual. I can do my flight planning on the web, load it on the iPad & transfer it to the G3X, which then loads it to the 430 and now all three have the same flight plan. To modify the flight plan, I can use ForeFlight, the 430, or the G3X. The easiest way is to disable the external navigator (430) from the G3X, make the mod on the G3X and then reengage the 430 to update everything. Also, the GDL39R provides synthetic vision on the iPad so I no longer need a Stratus.
apparently not, which is odd. I know it works in the Cirrus perspective version of G1000 ipadpilotnews.com/2014/07/garmin-connext-links-ipad-panel-mount-avionics/
I asked both Garmin & Foreflight at AOPA FDK fly-in on May 11. I got non-committal answers from both sides, kinda pointing at each other. They basically said something like negotiation in progress... My GNX-375 install is currently in process. I'll be incredibly disappointed if they don't work it out.
This is fantastic! Unbelievable how much Foreflight is pushing into the future.
This is _so_ cool. So glad you were able to get connectivity w/ Garmin; using ForeFlight w/ GTN-750 & FlightStream 210.
You do NOT need the 210 if you have a GTN-750. The 750 can be paired directly with the iPad.

Do you still need a stratus or th like, or does this allow Foreflight to pickup weather, traffic etc from the garmin?

1000+ dollars for bluetooth? thats insane... Is there a way to sync foreflight with a gtn 650 without spending that much?

No, ForeFlight can connect directly to the GNX 375 via Bluetooth to exchange flight plans and other data.
So you didn’t tell us anything about how to find it on the Garmin….So where the hell is it? How do I know if my Garmin 750 is capable where do I look?
