I´m just starting out competition level one tomorrow, I´m done with training level one(I don´t know if theres such a thing in america but there is in sweden anyway) So this was really helpfull for me. Thanks for posting :)
My daughter is just starting out in cheer, 7 and loving it! Could you maybe post the list of moves someone is giving as background commentary. I cant keep up with them and some are too quiet to understand. Thanks much!
im not in level 1 cheer, but in level 1 gymnastics and need some help. i can't get my back bend to do maybe a back walk over or a handspring. I know how to do handstand so I have the shoulder strength but help please! Can someone tell me so back stretches or something? How do I get over this fear? I keep getting a feeling like I'm going to fall on my neck, back, or head if I do the back bend. I know how to do a bridge* :) *
Kate Ambrosi get someone to put their hand on your back while you're doing a backbend/backwalkover, this will give you the confidence to do it. Keep stretching your back and shoulders.
Kate_Ambrosi get around 4 pillows and stack them up then practice following your hands back until you land on the pillows. Try and get someone to hold your back while you go down onto 2-3 pillows then practice with 1 pillow or something soft and just bend your back and slowly follow your hands, keep doing that for around 10 goes then try with someone just holding your back That should help if you want me to do a video to help you let me know I will try
Try doing backbends from your knees, the highest skill I have is a back walkover and doing backbends from my knees is a good stretch to strengthen your hands, and helps you bend your back! Maybe I will post a vid on my channel showing it being done!
