I can't believe how amazing the milk paint works with paint inlays!!! I don't think anyone else tried it. ❤❤❤❤ I love the cabinet. I have several old cabinets and theyre all different styles. The toolbox is so so beautiful. Duck Egg Blue is a magical color. Its perfect. It enhances whatever you put it with. That blue with roses is amazing. Definitely now a treasure. The jar is beautiful now. Im glad it has a new life now too. Very beautiful pieces today. I tried 3 times to watch . My little granddaughter woke up at 330 am and was going strong all day. We worked outdoors until she was exhausted. I saw she grabbed her blanket and knew it was nap time. She doesn't get enough outdoor time and she loves it. She wants to run. My cat keeps up with her so we may have 2 track stars. ❤❤❤ Erin I don't think anyone does projects better. You don't cut corners and take shortcuts. When I watch other creators, I hear them say, Erin does this or that and I have to try it. ❤❤❤ People are catching on to your amazing creative mind. I hope you have an amazing weekend.
I so enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for all the time you give and bless us with. It would be fun to have a peek at your animals and farm again. Have a fabulous weekend!
Hello Erin! Your trash to treasures turned out lovely. I just finished a revamp of a cigar box similar to your metal box. I added feet to mine and will be selling as a seed box. I got that inspiration from one of your previous videos. Thanks for all you do for us and your channel. Love watching you. Wishing you a 💐🐦💐 HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY💐🐦💐
As usual, Erin your projects are beautiful. However, the tool box is my favorite. I love the Duck Egg paint. It's a beautiful shade of blue. But I also love the little cabinet with the paint inlay. Your projects are always impressive.
OMG, your cabinet and toolbox, I can’t love them enough!! 😻😻 so stunning!! I’m starting to fall in love with paint inlays and learning so much about them from you!! Thanks so much for the inspiration!! ❤❤
So excited you used milk paint with the inlay! That’s my favorite way, especially with Rose Chintz, to use paint inlays! 💗🩷💗 Every project turned out gorgeous!
Erin, such beautiful projects! The paint inlay in the small cabinet is just lovely! Love the rose print! The jar is very vintage looking too. Happy Mother's Day! 🤗
Love, love, love the toolbox either the duck blue and iod transfers!! I will have to keep my eye out for a toolbox a the thrift stores!! Thank You for sharing ❤
I really enjoyed the video. I have an old cabinet that needs refinishing. This will be the perfect way to redo . I liked Jami’s use of the milk paint and inlay.
Erin, I am a new subscriber. You are a remarkable artist and instructor. I look forward to all your videos and have been enjoying a bit of a binge on your past videos😊 Like you, I am inspired a lot by JRV, but I now add you to that list... you have become a favorite and really are amazing. ❤ ~Laura, Washington state
Great work Erin as always! So to be clear you used milk paint right over chalk paint without sealing the chalk paint layer first I thought the water in the milk paint would reactivate and smear up together with the chalk paint and make a muddy mix. Guess it’s ok!! Great!
Thank you! Yep I used the milk paint and inlay straight over the chalk paint but if you’re worried about it reactivating you could seal the chalk paint first. I didn’t have any issues. 😊
I always get so excited for any video of yours to appear. All are my favourite! 😆 I noticed that you didn’t put the hooks back in the little cabinet. What would you use the cabinet for? I have one similar, it’s also a key holder, so maybe it staying as a key holder would be practical, unless you gave other ideas?your channel is my absolute fav!!
New friend here! Love the projects! I’ve just started using transfers so I love seeing the different things to use them on! I’d love for you to check out the thrift flips I did!a couple used transfers.
Using an inlay with milk paint produced such beautiful results! Since it pulled up some of the paint though, can the inlay only be used with the same paint color?
Thank you 😊 It will work like any other paint and leave residue of the precious colour so you could use it with the same paint or it will be a fun multicoloured effect if you change colours.
Hi Erin! Everything looks so cute! I have a question for you. I’ve recently used the Paint Couture 2 in 1 primer (gray) on a glass jar. I did one coat with a makeup sponge then a second after the first coat dried. I’m not sure if I didn’t let the first coat dry long enough (30-ish mins). When I started applying the second coat, it was still very patchy and in some spots actually removed the first coat and wouldn’t cover. I ended up spraying a different primer on to get the glass ready to paint. Any ideas? Thank you!
Thank you. Sorry to hear you’re having issues Donna. I haven’t had that problem but I do let my coats dry for several hours in between coats. Also sometimes humidity can cause problems too with drying. Cleaning residue can also be an issue too. Also sometimes the makeup sponge can get sticky from the primer and pull it back off if the first coat isn’t completely dry, maybe try using a different part of the sponge or a new one.
I've heard that your paint inlay won't work again if used over milk paint because of the paint that ends up on the inlay. Please let us know...I'm curious to know for sure. I always love all your projects!
Thanks so much. I believe that the rose Chinzt will work again but I didn’t have much paint residue on the inlay. On my most recent project I’m working on however I got too much milk paint on the inlay so it didn’t work a second time. Guess it just depends on the project and how much paint is left behind.
They are all beautiful
Thank you 😊
I love all your projects. My favorite is the box🦋🦋🦋🌻🌻🌻

@@TheProvincialFarmhouse thank you Erin. I didn’t let it dry long enough. And that’s good to know about the make up sponge too!
