Just discovered Ian bagg yesterday and I've never laughed so goddamn hard in my life. This guy is so freaking hilarious. Adam devine, Tom Segura, Jim brewer and Chris Porter are my faves and Ian bagg just reached the top of my list. The way he works the crowd is a true talent.
If you haven’t heard him I’d assume by your favourites that you’d love Dave Attell, also check out Doug Stanhope if you haven’t heard him before. They’re friends of ,and held in high esteem by most the comics you mentioned.
This is gold - I'm loving your interviews, man. I'm either discovering new (to me) comics, or listening to some serious players just share and be generous. Kudos!
For sure! That's why we posted this video of him sharing all his secrets. We're glad you enjoy comedy as much as we do. ua-cam.com/video/leFZTFn0-OA/v-deo.html
This was/is my favorite interview ever. It was a kick in the ass, reminding me to do the work to ‘level up’ . Thanks Joel. I’m now a fan of Ian Bragg. I will definitely listen to this a few more times, until the ‘tape gets twisted in the cassette’
The no-crowdwork thing is interesting, maybe some clubs are worried about losing customers if comic goes too harsh? And nice to learn about the following someone who does crowdwork, and worrying about them expecting it from next comic/headliner.
I love watching Your interviews with these standup Comedians. There´s always something interesting in these conversations that we can take and put to work in our everyday living. Thanks for these!!!
@@HotBreathPod Ive always liked watching interviews with comedians about their life and work. I saw some of Dusty Slays standup vids here on UA-cam and went searching for some interviews with him in it, and found HotBreath that way. I live in NorthEast Brazil now, but for 18rs lived in Marietta in Cobb County, Ga. What a coincidence that your podcast is based in Ga. Cheers! Love your Interviews!!!
@@hugo311name9 Oh wow small world! It's good to find listeners all the way in Brazil. The Hot Breathiverse is expanding. We have even more interviews on our iTunes and Spotify feeds. Please feel free to subscribe!
Awesome show. Glad I found you. I’ve been cracking jokes in a semi popular UA-cam chat room and have earned a reputation as the local funny guy.(not other people’s jokes. They always pertain to the topic and are off the cuff). I have no experience with comedy but it’s the most fun I’ve had in a long time. It’s gotten to the point that there’s a lot of pressure for me to be funny. I accidentally gained an audience. Do you have any advice for the times that you don’t feel like joking but feel like you should anyway? Thank you.
It's great to connect with you Vinny and congrats on the new found comedy career. You'll be famous in no time! The easiest piece of advice I can share is the lower the bar for yourself. They already think you are funny and that's half the battle. Most of the work is proving to people you are funny. They know you are naturally a funny person. So, just be natural and they will find what you say funny. Does that help? Let's keep in touch in our Facebook group! You'll also be able to ask other comics questions there: facebook.com/groups/HotBreathComedyNetwork/
Hey Canada what is a hydro pole but seriously my favorite bit of Ian's is wearing high heels and shorts I'm ready for prom but there might be a barbeque I feel in the floor laughing when I first heard it
@@HotBreathPod it was great and honest. You did great looking for the sorcerers stone 😆 and staying on point and on topic while keeping it a conversation. Great for me because i would like to do crowd work also and I've just recently went into an Ian Bagg comedy binge. And to find that he's been chilling on with my favorite comedian Mitch. Rip.
@@Se7enDsinSGaming The sorcerer's stone, love it! 🤣 Yeah you'll definitely enjoy more of the interviews. We've done almost 200 available on iTunes. Let's connect on social media too. Welcome to the Hot Breathiverse!
I feel like the interviewer isn’t skilled at crowd work so he couldn’t develop depth of the interview thru the questions. At one point he was frustrated enough to say ‘i feel like you are holding the sorcerer stone’, which means they are not discussion about the stone but merely asking about it Given to Joe Rogan and there’d be much more clarified insights
came for the mitch hedberg stories, stayed for the great interview!

Ah Ian, good point about the "that's not crowd work" when you have a bit ready. Never thought about that.
It's true!
