Love your videos Jeremy, total jeremine!.... can you do a full video just playing with the Yamaha psr 410??... because I am planing on buying it and when does the Yamaha psr 410 gets defected?
Hi Jeremy. I felt the Yamaha PSR - EW410 had better sound sound quality. The lower end notes had more bass and sustain when compared to the PSR - E463 that had lesser sustain.
Yes, the piano in the EW410 had a better clarity of tone, particularly in the top notes which really sparkled. If I was buying and had to choose which of these two, apart from the other additional features you mention, the better piano sound plus the larger keyboard would make the EW410 a no-contest choice. As an aside for anyone interested (here begineth the lesson!), the issue of power (in watts) and the volume produced is a complex one. As simply as I can put it, there are several factors: (i) the ear hears logarithmically which means twice the number of watts doesn't mean twice as loud. The difference is measured in db (decibels) and a 1db increase means the smallest increase the ear can detect. Doubling the power is only a 3db increase which is the smallest increase the ear can hear easily. (ii) Speaker design is almost a magical mystery art, as the better the speaker quality (heaps of factors here) usually the lower the volume you hear for the same number of amplifier watts. So in the comparison Jeremy is presenting, the fact that although the watts are doubled, the EW410 sounds only slightly suggests the speakers are probably better quality. Did you get all that? Class dismissed. Anyone who went to sleep will have to repeat the lesson. There are no exams because of the virus. (And thanks to whoever left the apple!)
Hello Bryan, my friend. You explained a technical concept so well. 👏 We are blessed to have you contribute your wealth of knowledge. Hope things are improving down under.
I've listened to numerus keyboards: Roland, Kawai, Yamaha EW310 and EW410 and I feel I don't need all those extra buttons to play. Example: Split Voice, Dual Voice, etc. I don't need. All I want is a simple good keyboard with good sound speakers that I can change voices to Organ, strings, piano, violin . I'm not playing in gig, just home. I like the 76 keys but is willing to settle for 61 keys if there is such a keyboard out there. There is just too many fancy pushed buttons to choose, I don't need that. So, Jeremy, do you have several suggestions for me? I am not a beginner. I've been playing my upright piano for over 20 years. I need a change for once in my life to have good sounds keyboard. Thanks
Большое спасибо вам, теперь я точно знаю что мне нужна EW410, за него стоит доплатить. Thank you very much, now I know for sure that I need an EW410, it is worth paying extra for it.
Sir, I'm from India and My Son Have PSR-E463 and He's satisfied with it because PSR-EW410 is exactly 10,000/- Indian Rupees. It's a big amount to pay only extra octave.
the live grand piano is the same sample used on the psr 8000 with the updated base notes that the psr e463 also provides and has been providing since the psr e353 back in 2015, knowing this, the psr e463 is still, in my opinion, the best out of all the flagships and hopefully when they finally give us the psr e473 we get the same sound found on the clavanovas and most of the psr s series, currently saving up for the legendary psr s670 because its good for new to s series and its also a keyboard I have had experience with, I don't want to get a keyboard without trying it out first and that is what I tipically do. I usually try them out and purchase them several months later, the psr e463 for instance I saw on the top shelf in may of 2019 then took it home 6 months later. even if it gets replaced it will still be the ultimate yamaha psr e series keyboard especially when you want to make quick midi files and trust me my mac is slow and by that I mean, sporting a hard drive with a low end intel chip
Hello! I just got into learning piano/keyboard and I wanted to ask if you think that I should buy the better one because I really don't think I am going to need the extra features as an beginner .
It's definitely a more Dynamic sounding grand piano sample In the 410, plus more keys to play with. Also add to that, separate professional left and right outputs. Ew-410 for the win....
How is this different than Yamaha PSR-EW310? Which one is the latest? I am confused because your video on PSR-EW310 are posted after the videos on PSR-EW410. Normally I would've assumed 410 is an upgrade to 310. Please help me sort this nomenclature.
Hi Jeremy good day to you. There are 2 questions and I wish to find out opinion from you. On the E 463 to mixer, is there only one option which is 1/4 inch single put connect to mixer? Second question, from the USB host to a laptop recording app, apart from USB A to B , is there any other option on the output connecting to a laptop, like wireless ?
Hi Jeremy, thanks a lot for another video on EW410. I already saw your video where you rated on 36 different topics the EK-50, CT-X5000 and E463, but let me dig a little bit in some specific points... When comparing EW410 (let's forget E463) to Casio CT-X5000 and Korg EK-50, can you let me know which one of the three is best in: - Grand Piano sound - Keybed - Quality of speakers As you said in one of your videos, you are lucky because you can have all of them somehow... but if you have to go to a desert island only with one, which would be your pick from those three (EW410, EK-50, CT-X5000)? Thanks a million for all your videos, there is no other place to get such amount of information in such a frequent basis.
I finally found a music store where I live (Barcelona) which was having both the Korg and the Casio (my two preferred options from these three keyboards) and I could check myself on all the points I raised to you, so decision is made. I will go with the Casio. My reasons (please consider I am an absolute beginner with zero experience in playing piano/keyboard, so take everything with a pinch of salt) are: - GrandPiano voice: I liked more the Casio one than the Korg one, but in person the difference was not as big as I was expecting. - Speakers: store was not having CT-X5000, but CT-X3000. In terms of sound quality, I think Korg sounds better/clearer. But again, there was not a big difference. In terms of volume, I was expecting a bigger difference between Korg 10W+10W and Casio 6W+6W. It was not the case. - Keybed: again, I was expecting a bigger difference as everybody says Korg one is very good and there are very different opinions about Casio one. I was happy to find Casio one also quite good. So I have decided to buy a CT-X5000 because I like a lot its voices. I know that Korg styles are probably better quality, but I also prefer Casio ones because they feel more modern to me. I also know that Casio UI is much more complicated, but I think I will be needing a lot of time and training before starting using the functionality which is complex to be used. Selecting voices, styles, layering voices, etc., adding/changing some effects are not so complex things (although they are much more straight forward in EK-50, no doubt).
I commented in your EW410 review cause that is what I have, I just want to ask if there is way to add a better grand piano sound to it? Like use a usb and then transfer it to the keyboard.
I have two questions about E463 1. Can I plug-in my headphone that has 3.5mm jack? 2. Can the sound of Piano voice be improved if I as app such as iGrand or Walkband? Please reaply
Yes. You can. Press the function button and press the right category button a couple of times until your screen shows M release, M attack, M reverb, etc. To adjust these effects, rotate the dial and preview your voice. You get a clear, crisp and realistic voice by adjusting these parameters.
I own the PSR e463 along with other Synths and Keyboards, I really like this little Keyboard... Has so much to offer for a little price... Sampling, USB audio interface, Audio Recording.... I bought the E463 because it is smaller... The only differences between the two are More Keys (of course), more sampling zones, the L/R Audio Out and a Better Piano Sound.... I think that's all.... If you don't need the above features, then go with PSR E463....
Hi - I so much like your videos :) Are there people or places where you can buy a custom track of my own song or any particular song (like a Christmas song) that will play on eith of these keyboards? I am thinking of maybe getting some accompaniment tracks for me to sing to and have the keyboard do the music for me. Sorry if this is a dumb question, I don't know a whole lot about what keyboards can and can't do. I do like the the sound of the 410 though, I can at least tell that much lol :) Nice video, thumbs up 👍👍
You can buy minus one instrument MP3s and play them off a USB stick or an aux cable from your smartphone to your keyboards. You can choose your singing key as well as backup vocal tracks when ordering the minus one. 😁
The PSR-E463 is only better than the PSR-EW410 in price, it's cheaper, but that's explainable since it's smaller, has fewer keys, has a weaker built in speaker, lacks L/R output, etc.)
I want to like this keyboard, but until Yamaha can fix their ridiculous midi standards for PSR keyboards, I'll never buy one. Seriously, my earliest Casio keyboards all spanked the PSR E463 and EW410 for midi applications. I owned those keyboards over 25 years ago. The PSR E463/EW410 sound great, but calling them 16 channel in/16 channel out midi keyboards is a deception from Yamaha's marketing department. The PSR E463/EW410 are ok as toys for doodling, but serious midi programmers will be very disappointed.
now I am glad I went for the psr e463 over this model. mainly because the ew410 would be too heavy for my current set up consisting of 11 keyboards at the time estimately. another reason why is for general midi perposes. midi files played using live grand piano may not play properly on a computer and may be revoiced to a different instrument depending on the hardware. but now that I mention it, I wonder if, given the fact that both keyboards have the same sound chip. the e463 will recognise live grand without having it as a usable voice. it would take me a while to send me any midi files created on the psr ew410, as I am almost an expert when it comes to standard general midi as most midi devices will not recognise live grand piano. but I have been interested in experimenting for a while now especially since I believe the psr ew400 also has the live grand piano voice as well

Live! Grand Piano is really a plus because it was also use on the older "full 88 key keyboards" like the DGX
Indeed it is. 👍🏼
Thank you for another comparative; so important when people are shopping for a new keyboard! (And just fun to watch too).
Thank you for stopping by Shelly. Always a pleasure to hear from you.

If I only see this vlog earlier I would rather buy the E410...it's nice!
Very nicely done comparison. Those who value great sound and have piano playing in mind will definitely go for 410, some with a bit grudgingly...
Hello!
I just got into learning piano/keyboard and I wanted to ask if you think that I should buy the better one because I really don't think I am going to need the extra features as an beginner .
Hi Jeremy, Between the Korg EK 50 and the W410, which one has a better piano sound?
Sir Is There Any trick To use freeze option
no buy PSR-SX
Hi Jeremy, the video title says EW463. Should be E463 right?
Thanks! Sharp eyes.
Hi, Should I change from i500 to EW410??? As I don't use Indian Sounds very much.
What is your opinion on Kurzweil Kp300x?
Its easier to use,no need to go over menu option button, everything is on the panel...and better sounds than my e363 and a lot more features👍
when can we expect the psr e473 and can we add additional voices to this one
I find it useful

does EV410 have "Supper Articulation" function?
No.
I have a question!!
Can we record the audio of ew410 on direct phone through printer cables?????????????????.
Jeremy.Any idea, when the next yamaha dgx (dgx 670,maybe)is coming out?
There is no news or whispers out there.
Thank you Jeremy.Any whisper. Let us know.

The EW410 is simply amazing, currently no stocks available in India. Is the e373 equally good?
E373 is good but ew410 is 100X better

The bass chords were much more pronounced in the EW410, imo
You look like the brother of the guy from "GuitarZeroToHero" channel😀😀
The grand concert piano on both sounds like harpsichord! Not at all like the grand piano sound of their digital pianos :(
I bought a used 463e for $200 USD after watching all your videos
great price!

You can buy minus one instrument MP3s and play them off a USB stick or an aux cable from your smartphone to your keyboards. You can choose your singing key as well as backup vocal tracks when ordering the minus one. 😁
Some specific notes sound different...
Yes, the samples are better on the PSR EW410

Vraiment peut de différences mon E 463 suffit largement dans cette gamme de prix .
As a professional keyboard player, I am going with the PSR-EW-410, which has 76 keys. The PSR-463 has at least 61 keys. Thanks, Jeremy!
Thank you for watching and supporting my channel buddy
Selfie vedio. Yeah!!
The PSR E-463 sounds really plasticky.
