Gravel racing in the Canadian Rockies. TransRockies Gravel Royale Stage 1 POV. Nipika meets Yeti ARC

TransRockies Gravel Royale is a three day gravel stage race through the Canadian Kootenay Rockies in British Columbia. This, the 2024 race, took place at Nipika Mountain Resort near Invermere BC. Each day was an out and back and this is the first of the stages shot from my perspective as the gravel bike rider. Racing or just gravel touring, this event is a must consider and must ride. #bucketlist
Stage one took us from Nipika on a 52.06 mile gravel adventure and climbed 5085ft...although it felt like much more! Amazing atmosphere before, during and after the race. Nothing quite like it.
Featured is my Yeti ARC mountain bike hardtail (MTB v Gravel bike racing), Timbr bell (not sure it would ever scare a bear but it annoyed me....and may do you too!), Vittoria tyres and the great state of British Columbia in all its glory.
Filmed on a GoPro Hero 11, the noise you hear (sorry) is the GoPro bar mount. I have since moved to a GoPro chest harness which should be better for future videos.
