Thanks, this helped me out BIG time. Only things that was left out was how you even get to the loader prompt. Unplug the switch, hold CTRL+C, plug the switch and keep holding CTRL+C for about 20-30 seconds, let go and that will get you to the loader prompt. Second thing was when I got to the switch boot prompt the switch could no longer communicate with the MGMT0 interface even though I verified the IP was in the same network and showing up. I tried shut/no shut and this did not work. I had to change the IP address to something totally different then change it back to the correct IP address and It was able to TFTP from that point on. Othen then that great video!!! Ill be doing one soon as well.
This helped me a lot. Thank you!
Can you explain " I had to change the IP address to something totally different then change it back to the correct IP address and It was able to TFTP from that point on " ? i had same problem now
Awesome this comment really made a big difference!
Helped a great deal, thank you!!
It was helpful for me, thanks!
Thank you so much.
Thank you Sir! I assumed the MGMT0 interface and the FTP sever (on your laptop) are on the same L2 switch, or is it otherwise? because, in my case, the Nexus switch itself would be the default-gateway since its the core.
MGMT0 & Laptop need to be same network. Its better to connect latptop to MGMT0 directly.
very helpfull.
Great help many thanks
Thank you so much.
It’s helped me a lot. Could tell me how many times were you spend for the booting image.?
I did not understand your question properly. Its take a long time to upload large file with TFTP. Approx 1 hour may be. TFTP speed is slow.
Zahidul Hasan My English not good 😅. Thank you for your help!

@@Zahidulhasan Hello, can you package these images for me?
not working showing below error
unable to mount-startup config ,entering vshboot
Hi , can i use local tftp server on my laptop and then connect it via int mgmt0 and why you're ip address for tftp server is diffrent the switch ip ?
In loader prompt situation, mgmt0 port or USB is not usable. To upload file in loader situation only serial port tftp is only option.
What are you using to communicate with the switch?
I am using a console cable and Hyper Terminal and I am stuck after entering the command to copy from my TFTP server.
There is not alternative way in loader prompt without console. I have faced same situation, trying another console cable, solved my problem. You can try also.
