Yeahhh, they really wanted the blacks to look better. Even season 1 had quite a bit of those flaws.
If the latest GOT seasons were good, maybe I actually going to watch HOTD in the first place. Now, that people said HOTD season 2 aren't great, my interest goes from -0 to -50.
Tbf, there’s a lot of “historical” details that are left out of the source material that needed to be filled in, plus a writers strike, plus budget cuts, plus a shortened production schedule…
It’s a miracle it even came out as good as it did.
The Boys is not for the faint of heart. Would not have expected it to be the kind of show Biboo would try, and not too surprised it's a bit much for her.
I never watched The Boys, but the "inapropro" parts are probably accurate to real life, when we live in a clown world with "MLP Jars" and "JO crystals"...

I had to look it up and Im terrified of the series. The fact that it's not a cartoon
It is good to know your limits and not force yourself. It is a bit funny to me how the gore and violence is just brushed off, doubly funny because of what they are playing, while the "inappropro" content is the deal breaker.
To everyone and anyone out there who hasn't yet watched any of The Boys, you shouldn't just avoid it, try watching the first season and see if you want to go on from there, season 2 is very similar to how season 1 is in terms of all the deranged stuff, pretty much. It gets crazier from season 3 and onwards, I'd say.
But overall it's a great show.
Just not for everyone.

I know its kind of a meme to be like "Oh Biboo is baby, only watch like kiddie shows" and stuff like that, just because of how her character is portrayed, but i can't even lie, The Boys is too much for me too. The violence and gore isnt even the worst part about it imo, its just how it uses fucked up real world elements and uses it to build its own world, and it iust gave me the worst anxiety ever. I think it was Starlight's backstory of being a kid pageant girl that finally broke the camel's back for me. I just couldn't do it anymore

The current season of the boys, too much to mention, alot of WTF, I'll settle on something less shocking, oh god the sheep...
I watched the boys until the latest season. I can say it's not for the faint hearted, especially the gore and weird sexual fetish stuff .
But damn the plot is too interesting for me, i definitely enjoyed it more than some marvel stuff.

Yeah, some parts I had to pause and think if I wanted to keep watching at the time. It wasn't bad, but it was Alot to watching in one sitting with what was happening. That ending though.

The Boys peaked at season 1 imo. It had weird scenes there too but now it's become disgusting. I also watched the Gen V spinoff and disliked it. I realized that the only reason I tolerated The Boys after season 1 and all the disgusting scenes was because of how I really liked the characters were written in TB season 1.
The Moomlander is canon
Feels like these days if you want to see something excellent, you need to look to Asia. Shogun was the real deal, and it was a couple years ago but Hellbound was a true masterpiece.
Shogun was the best show of 2024, but it isn't an Asian production. It was a western production.

I don’t think their will ever be a bigger failure in media than the final 4 seasons of game of thrones. It absolutely unanimous among every conscious human being that those final seasons were absolutely horrendous. At least the god awful Star Wars content today has at least a few hold out defenders that will simply accept anything labeled Star Wars but game of thrones fans just collectively abandoned the show, no one thought it was still good everyone came to the unanimous decision it was bad, it’s like evidence that world peace is achievable to me.

The boys first 2 seasons were pretty decent and season 3 was the peak of the show for me. Both the actor. character and concept of soldier boy were just too fun and cool. But then season 4 took a nose dive. It felt like 35% of it was trying to peddle political agendas to the viewers and another 35% was unnecessary gross seanes that feel more like pornography for some weird fetishist than to have any real comedy or substance to them. And 30% felt like somebody actually still gave a shit about the story and quality of the show.

Loosly based, very loosly. Like pretty much only the name and character names. That's where it stops.
They just inserted modern woke politics in the show, and kept adding that content as people started to like the characters that went against that.
