Taylor wasn't lip-syncing, she was singing along with backing track and back-up singers. Taylor often does this, backing track is not lip-syncing you're still singing live but you have a little help - your breaths, cracks and stuff like that isn't heard by audience and your voice sounds stronger, because it's a track of you singing + you're still singing.
My only qualm with Taylor is that as Queen of the industry, with AMAZING taste in music, my other favorite artists that opened for her are all going to be so hard to get tickets for now too. 😂😭

Sometimes singers lip sync if they have lots of choreo. Sometimes they do it when they’re sick. It’s not always because they’re bad at singing live. There’s no shame in lip syncing and not every performance is live. Some artists sprinkle in lip synced performances on tours and things to save their voices and so they’re not burnt out.
Also sometimes they mime at big events like sporting events, cultural shows, Olympics etc just because everything is so complicated and it *has* to be exactly right.
