That was my reaction as soon as I saw him on screen: "Awww, Luke..." It was fun to see Jen Garner as well; she seemed genuinely intimidated by Martha at first, though she relaxed as the segment went on.

She's usually better at going off script and brings a bit of playful verbal back and forth with male guests. Usually😅

    Shepherds pie = lamb
    Cottage pie = beef
Fisherman's pie = cheapest fish sometimes smoked not always
Admirals pie = expensive fish frequently salmon, large prawns etc
    Gardeners pie = vegetables
Hunters pie = rabbit, venison or other game animals
    Game pie = game birds
Stargazy pie = herring traditionally with fish heads showing through the pie
Farmhouse pie = white sauce pie with various things chicken, mushrooms, spinach, bacon, peas, sweetcorn, sauted leeks any combination you fancy
Steak pie = steak often with beer, ale or stout
Steak and kidney = steak and kidneys in a brown gravy often with beer, ale or stout
Mince pie = minced beef and brown gravy
These are the traditional names used in the uk

This is American channel. So obviously very different from the UK. Only thing I could say was about shepherds pie, that’s British. Shepherd means a sheep keeper so it’s always with lamb not beef. All other casseroles aren’t related with the UK. In North America, and other parts of most developed countries lamb isn’t common, often expensive and many people don’t eat them due to gaminess. It’s not common here either though I live in a G7 nation.

Here in the United States, they have to supersize the carb content to keep people obese. 50g or fewer carbs people! Don't go over that and if you can, keep it under 20g of carbs per day.

  • @KittenBowl1
    @KittenBowl1 Рік тому +2

All of them look delicious except the one that uses cans of Campbell soups. They used to be ok, I used to get tomato, cream of mushroom etc. to use for cooking. But now they taste terrible, they use modified corn syrup instead of sugar and they all taste very funny and artificial, nothing like they used to be. So I won’t be making that one. Most of them use heavy cream, that’s like scalloped potatoes…I prefer to make my own béchamel sauce using butter and flour with full fat milk, not cream. They come out super nice every time. That’s the classic way to make gratin. I may try out the root vegetables with cream but that’s heart clogging rich 😅.

Lol she’s always been like that, you didn’t know? Part of her charm actually. She’s a perfectionist and that’s also the appeal to many viewers. Btw, this is an very old show and all of these episodes are quite old, several years to 10+ years old. She’s retired now. She comes on TV rarely now only occasionally like Christmas etc.

I would not like to have a conversation with Martha Stewart because she is one of those people who never lets you finish a sentence without interupting you. She continuously interrupts her guests. She is worse than Conan O'Brien. I'm sure that most guests blow it off, but when Jennifer Garner was saying that Shepherd's Pie is Kevin Kline's favorite dish, she couldn't get beyond the word "so..." before Martha interrupted her saying, "Oh, so we will send a Shepherd's pie from the studio to him tonight." I'm certain that Jennifer was going to say "So I am going to make him Shepherd's Pie." Jennifer just said, "oh..." . LOL. She is too sweet to say what I would say..." Thank you Martha but I was about to say "I want to make him one... myself." I'd say it with a smile of course.

The silence with women is an obvious choice of a cataclysmic clash. For to be a woman who is normal often in entertainment -there always is another woman waiting but one must stay strong and work on themselves.
