I want to write policies! Right now, I have my PNC license and am servicing auto/renter policies. I’m only a year in, but sooner or later I am determined to transition into selling policies. I’ve been out of training for 8 months. I’m wanting to get my life/health as well!
I feel like it’s going to be a lot knowing all this terminology and what it actually means on the fly. I feel like I won’t be smart enough for this job. I’m currently in a prelicensing course studying 😩

I was thinking that selling insurance as a financial rep would be a good idea to meet the experience criteria and also build my book of business before I’m a financial advisor. I was even thinking I could tie that into my pitch..like offering these prospects tax mitigation strategies and investment consultation once I get all my certs later on. That way they’re getting more value out of me than a typical insurance agent. Any thoughts on that?

Hi Ebony! She bought insurance for her business (general liability policy with property coverage). I sell every line of insurance. For Workers Comp. You would need your property & casualty license. Hope this helped.

What is a processing team?
Process binding the policy, taking payments etc. With some carriers, I act as the insurance consultant.
