HEC Paris 2024 Graduation: Speech of Mouphtaou Yarou (MBA) on Resilience and Grit

🎓 🎙 Mouphtaou's commencement speech is a powerful reminder that, with determination and support, no challenge is too great.
🏀 Mouphtaou Yarou, born in a small town in northern Benin, became Benin's first student-athlete and is now both an accomplished professional basketball player and a proud graduate of the HEC Paris MBA.
His path to our campus and to graduation day in front of “one of the world's most prestigious and powerful communities” was forged by his mother, who instilled in him the values of strength, resilience, and love.
He dedicated his academic achievement to her memory with moving words.
Although Mouphtaou has traveled the world, his experience at HEC has enriched his worldview, thanks to “deep reflections”, critical thinking and the power of diversity.
Mouphtaou also expressed his gratitude to the HEC community for supporting him and giving him the confidence to assert himself in all areas of his life.
