First! Wonderful video as always. Love the heat shield "petals" on the landing pad and your use of the new flood lights. (I'm also in love with the floodlights myself) Thank you so much for the shoutout. I look forward to incorporating you in future videos!
Can’t wait for the control center! I like you’re going vanilla with it, I’ve been trying to come up with ideas on how to display cargo and tank storage. The wall with the small grid blocks is genius!
found your channel reaceantly binged this series in one sitting and honestly your building puts mine to shame as i'm just starting to improve my small grid ship building after just surpassing 4500 hours in space engineers..... cant wait to see where this base goes and what you design or a ship to face the new hostile faction. keep it up.
@@EngineeredCoffee fair enough. Mine are still very basic in design but honestly I still have a long way to go in terms of improving my craft. Looking forward to what comes next.
I absolutely love this series. The time you take to talk out your thinking as your designing has actually helped me refine my building style. Add in your doing things with ÆGIR now and the only thing I could hope for is you pop up and play on one of the servers I play on.
Awesome. All caught up. Actually found your channel through Aegir. Glad I took his suggestion and checked you out. Look forward to the next video and awesome base.
Comment for the algorithms; A misconception about the names Arctic and Antarctica. Arctic is Greek for "bear" and Antarctica is a combination of the Greek word for "anti/opposite" and "bear". Many think this is because the Arctic has polar bears and Antarctica does not. The bears, and lack of bears, are just a coincidence. The Arctic is actually named for the constellations in the northern sky of the Arctic, 'Ursa Minor' (Little Bear) and 'Ursa Major' (Great Bear). Antarctica is opposite these constellations so opposite bear.
Love the episode as always. Im really looking forward to the co trol panel display. For some inspiration, take a look at SCADA screens used in industries. ✌️
My favorite Space Engineers series at the moment, I keep looking forward for the next episode. Keep up the amazing work man! Edit: also the ideas for airlocks, event controllers etc.. I’m leaning a lot 😅
On those thrust diverters you could put some flashing interior lights along the edges that turn on if the rotor angle is greater/equal to 1. That way the edges will be super visible for sand-storm (or other low visibilty condition) take-off and landings.
You could use those maintenance block or whatever they are called on the landing platform that runs from the top to the base to that simulates where the hot gases shoot out idk and also maybe a effect block that triggers pointing out from the exhaust tunnels? I'm writing this at 1am so I might be stupid
Thank you! I look at a lot of concept art for sure. But a lot is just trying to figure out what fits and how it can be used. I did start my career out as a house designer, so I do somewhat have an eye for it.
I will work on uploading the outposts. The overall base will either be a world download, or I will break up the buildings into separate blueprints. Just need some time for those.
@@phrixos2826 🤣 It is a pun/play on words because I thought the side shields on the landing pad looked like flower PETALS. But thank you, glad you enjoyed the video.
Still enjoying your content. Congrats, you already got 1k subs! I hope you keep growing strong, as you surely deserve it. I would like to submit an AI heavy fighter build of mine to your appreciation. Maybe you find some use for it in this series. Let me know if you are interested.
@@EngineeredCoffee Nope. I am a bit shy about my poor skills. The main purpose would be to let you see it, make your improvements, and apply your color pallete to it. If Workshop allows to upload a blueprint as private and let me share it with people I choose, I could do it. Is that possible?
Is there a reason you keep weather on? I find it to be more annoying than immersive most of the time. Like, I think it's too frequent that there's a storm.
I think it adds to the ambience of Mars, also adds a good challenge to fights sometimes. But yes it makes it annoying sometimes. I reserve the right to clear weather in admin.
We are rounding the corner on 1k subscribers! Thank you! What would you like to see to celebrate?
You and AEGIR make a good duo together. You can make a double celebrate when he reaches 1k subs too. That would be amazing.
Absolutely!
This build looks fantastic! And the "drone shot" was especially cool

Thank you for the help. Looking forward to the next colab!
This looks so industrial, chaotic but organized at the same time, love it
Thanks! In my career, I have found most manufacturing plants do. Look like a hot mess but somehow keep producing.
its criminal how you dont have more subs , i love this series
Tell your friends 😉. It's only been a couple months really, I've been pretty surprised how fast the channel is growing. Thank you for the support!
I shared recently with some friends of mine who play.@@EngineeredCoffee
You are definitely in the top five best builders in engineering that I have seen.
That's really kind of you to say! Thanks friend!
Can’t wait for the control center! I like you’re going vanilla with it, I’ve been trying to come up with ideas on how to display cargo and tank storage. The wall with the small grid blocks is genius!
You're honestly one of the best engineers I've seen. You have a super nice style.
Thank you, I appreciate that! Think I can use that in my performance review IRL? 😉
@@EngineeredCoffee worth a shot lmao

Thank you for the kind words, I'm glad you're enjoying it! I just passed 9k hours and still feel novice in some parts.

That's awesome to hear! It has been a long time since I played on a server... maybe when work settles down I can find the time.
Also thank you for the coffee!
Awesome. All caught up. Actually found your channel through Aegir. Glad I took his suggestion and checked you out. Look forward to the next video and awesome base.
Thanks! Aegir is a great designer. Glad you like the base so far!
It looks fantastic loving the vibe!

Just binged the entire series to-date. i am inspired to reinstall and start a new save! Got some ideas now!
Glad you liked the series! It's always nice to see people inspired.

Absolutely! I actually do the PLC and SCADA programming for my IRL job.
Very no-jetpack friendly place, would be fun to explore!

hey @EngineeredCoffee! came here because you got recommended from MadMavn and i have to say i love this series! keep it up
That's awesome, thank you!
Launch pad Blast shield. That's impressive.
Also I am deathly Afraid of Subgridding. I just don't do it. Makes me more jealous of the landing pad.
@Quantum_Tator I normally don't either, but static grid seems less risky.
40:50 the server room is a nice idea
pre-deploying the turrets before attacking the base was clever
That was there original intent before they became my semi-permanent base defense. I should have been more prepared and had the parachutes deploy it.
Lmaoooo "Tar-D"

Great idea! Sand storms are a constant.
How are you so good with detailing man. Great videos btw!
Thank you! I think working in manufacturing IRL helps with this build for sure.
@@EngineeredCoffee where do you work?
love your builds
Thanks, I appreciate the support! Having a lot of fun with the series!
It would be nice if we had the ability to add NPCs to the office and stuff for pure cosmetic

I like the idea for sure. I would need to look if I can fit those in.
There's a small grid console block with 3 buttons if you didn't want to use the single button blocks
Yeah, I thought I needed a button, then one more, then suddenly grew to four.
@EngineeredCoffee I understand completely, you have a great mind for building. Keep up with the great work. I look forward to what you have planned.
wow i a blown away at how good that build is just wondering why you put a hinge on that wall but incredible build love the paddles idea on landing pad
The hinge is what is holding the small grid wall for the controls in the next episode.
RIP Skeeter 1...
Bro, builds that you build are splendid! Where do you get inspiration from? How do you make creations this beautiful?

just found your channel. loving your videos. i love the way you build. any chance you could publish a blueprint of your base and outpost please.

Topmo ment.
Greetings sir, what is your schedule?
Cause I cant wait to see your next videos
No set schedule. I try weekly for Sunday with the occasional bonus episode if things go smoothly. I have a full time career, so I record when I can.

petal to the metal? an attempt at humour?
At least you got it, I had someone mock my spelling instead. 🤣
@@EngineeredCoffee 'yay or nay' would have me frothing.
widescreen why
I asked about it in the first episodes, and the response was they liked the cinematic feel. So here we are in Episode 13. I appreciate the feedback!
It looks rather nice when not in full-screen mode, and it feels more full when in Theater mode.
