I didn't add too much of the gameplay, since for the most part the entire game is a repetitive structure of beating a level of enemies then getting a new boss at the end with no narrative in between. It's mostly just the cutscenes with the boss battles. We hope you enjoy!

3: I freaking loved this game. My favourite partners were always Prowler and Harry Osborn
1 minor flaw, when Spidey used the symbiote to form the black suit in the final level. The spider symbol front and back still remain the same as the red and blue suit.

I freaking LOVED this game when I was a kid. I was totally sold on the premise and the game delivered more than I thought it would. One of the best Spider-Man games ever made IMO.
It's a 30 minute gameplay loop stretched over hours. Cool that you like it, but "The best Spider-Man game?" That's objectively wrong considering we have things like Spider-Man 2018

You’re right. I haven’t realized up till just now when you mentioned it. I mean I knew Both Josh and James voiced Spidey. But when you mentioned that, I forgot about that. It’s like their roles are reversed from this game and spectacular Spider-Man show. Like first Josh Keaton voiced Spider-Man and James Arnold Taylor voiced Harry but now they switched roles like a one time or a some kind of experiment of what it would be like if James was voicing Spider-Man instead of Josh and the same goes for Josh as Harry.
And Josh Keaton was the voice of Norman Osborn/The Dark Goblin in the "Spider-man Maximum Venom" cartoon.

In my headcannon, this is a sequel to the Spider-Man Trilogy, the villains from said trilogy are just holograms from Mysterio, Blade is the same one from both the Blade Trilogy, and tv series, and Nick Fury is the same version played by David Hassilhoff 9 years prior to this game's release.

I remember when i didnt have the braincells to hit the bells during the Venom fight.
for a generic co-op beat em up for little kids... this game still had some great things in it
1) the artstyle, specially the concept art can look pretty gorgeus, this game actually teached me that super heroes don't have to be drawn realistic to look good, even some of the enemy designs looked pretty cool
2) nice loose adoptation of the raimi films, specially nice they made us of the concept of Harry become a good version of the green goblin and teaming up with Spidey. Already loved the thought of it in the movie
3) the arena mode, my brother and I had a lot of fun with... well as long no one choosed spidey or venom, they where highly op XD
4) nice variation of locations. Generic for a video game, but nice to see spiderman in some other places than just new york
5) Prob. last chance to see white nick furry in any kind of media outside the comics XD

This game is prime content for a remaster. Plenty of rough edges to iron out, lacking in “poorly aged” content and just a genuinely fun and interesting gameplay and story. I so wanna see a remaster

God this game was such a fun simple game to play. Call me picky but this is one of those types of games that just let me sit back, relax, and enjoy beating up monsters while enjoying the sassy computer in between missions. No complicated story just go beat up bad guys and save the world

Of course there's "no turmoil between Norman and Harry." Norman told Peter not to tell Harry about his Green Goblin identity, and Harry only hallucinated his father telling him to avenge his death. Not to mention, Harry made up with Peter and helped him fight against Sandman and Venom in Spider-Man 3, so you can't blame the writers of this game for Harry siding with Spidey.
4:12 conveniently none of the shards fall into the ocean, even though it's the majority of the Earth's surface.

Spider-Man breaking all the mind control devices is all done the same way with him singing it around and then smashing it to the ground. Which is funny for 24:10 since he breaks it on sand. I think it would've been cooler if he had a specific way to destroy each one in each different location. Here's how I think they could've showed Spider-Man breaking each villain's mind control device...
Doc Ock: Throwing device into fusion reactor to be destroyed.
Green Goblin: Webbing device to a pumpkin bomb, pushing the button to activate the bomb, throw it, and let it explode.
Scorpion: Throw device into lava.
Iron Fist: Iron Fist using his own powers to destroy device.
Rhino: Throwing device at one of the tiki statues so the electricity on them can burnt it.
Sandman: Throwing device against wall.
Venom: Throwing device to break against bell.
The game is great but but can we appreciate the great and hilarious writing in this game like there’s so many quotable things here
