I’ve used minute key several times and the keys they cut are always accurate and on point. I’ve never once had an issue with them not working. They always work on the first try

Criminals use on bank machines , portable machines in restaurants etc to swipe the card .. now just think for a second of this automatic key cutting machine got rigged to remember what the customer cuts... They would literally have access to whatever your copying. Just a thought that crossed my mind, only with concern, nothing else no bad intentions.. just I wonder how safe these machines are 🤔
save your key to the “cloud.” there is no cloud. it’s just someone else’s computer…damn so now they have saved copies of everyone’s house keys. how comforting.
Lmao it's not just a random guys personal computer. it's typically protected by encryption in a server that is designed to host and protect said information
Obviously you’re not supposed to but yes it works on a do not duplicate key as long as the kiosk has the right key for. It can’t read the part where it says do not duplicate. I have had to keys made for a previous job and they worked flawlessly
Is $4 to $6 each the going rate for the traditional human kiosks? (That is, as I type this in 2021. Congress is doing all they can to double all prices :( )

I was always worried that the machine would grind my own key down to a nub, leaving me locked out. Good to see that's not the case.
I used one of these and had no problems, the remake is a bit longer than the original and I don't mind one bit. it makes it alot easier to use.

Mold-a-rama. They are still around in various museums and such. I loved them as a kid and when my kids were younger we would get them as well.
Funny thing is, when I got keys hand-copied at Lowe's, neither worked. Maybe I'll try this.

That is a good question, I only did a regular key. I would think it would make the key but I do not think it would have a chip, just a metal key.
