Wow I just relived my childhood memory of the first time I saw Romeo and Juliet back in 1968. The movie starring Leonard Whiting and Oliva Hussey. I love William Shakspeare and his magnificent work. I went to Italy in 2002 for my wedding anniversary. Beautiful clean town. The people are very nice too. We saw the legendary balcony of Romeo & Juliet. It’s an experience my husband and I will always remember. ❤️🙏🏻🌹

Absolutely wonderful! Did anyone say anything about where they moved the bodies? I wondered if there was a crypt somewhere and whether they had been buried together. EDIT to add: Nevermind! I just found it. "Romeo and Juliet lie buried together inside the Capulet monument, but their names are not inscribed on its walls"

More beautiful, romantic Verona. It must be hard to walk and look at everything at the same time. So many beautiful things to see. A sad, romantic story and Romeo and Juliet. I love the statues of Shakespeare everywhere. I found it interesting the Juliet's home is open to the public. Yet Romeo's home is privately owned. I love the garden with the well. I'm curious as to Shakespeare's twist on Romeo and Juliet , most scholars don't believe that the original characters did not live in Verona. How much is a tourism ploy and what is true. Shakespeare's tale was loosely based on a tale from a different region. Interesting. I've found myself doing a lot of research on this. But, that is what you do Jordan, always make us think and peek our interests to find out more. Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Wow! Getting to see Verona again, after 14 years, the only thing I didn't get to see was the Juliette's crypt. When I went to see Juliette's place, I found out that the statute of her is like a good luck charm. The is talk saying that if you touch Juliette's breast, it's suppose to bring good luck in romance, so it's been said.

I figured since you were Verona something would come up about Romeo and Juliet. I am not a student of Shakespeare so I am totally unaware of the fact that Romeo and Juliet but was based on real people. Now this makes it even more sad. Their love story was such a tragedy. Verona is a really beautiful city. I was wondering do you ever buy the fruit off the stands as you walk by. It looks delicious.
