My 2008 Lincoln town car executive L series Compression is still 100 percent on point . I have replaced my transmission with a new ford transmission 4,000$ New air ride and all suspension replaced . New radiator new fan new water pump . Rebuilt diff and driveline . New egr All new coils and injectors . And last was the exhaust manifold gaskets , ford dealership had to do this because bolts were so seized they snapped . Then last week new oem intake and fuel filter and then code for fuel pump . I know how you feel brother . But parts break and if engine compression is still good I’m still investing in my Lincoln . Now I’m at 400,000 miles and no issues at all 😆 Buy a Lincoln or crown Vic in California 2008-2011 best models . No rust out here . I have ordered the Marty tune and got the Canshift and some aftermarket suspension links like you . Sorry to hear about your rust . Anyways , I enjoy your videos and hope all goes well with you .
I just bought an '04 Signature. 97K but absolutely rust free and spotless undercarriage. Also runs like a champ. Interior clean. Was in the market for any '03+ panther vehicle and figured I'd end up with a CV or GM, barely browsed LTC simply because they're usually significantly more $. But this popped up so clean that I couldn't resist.
Hello Jay, I understand your situation my rule for a car is if the body and interior are sound I'll spend $$ on it but I do all my repairs. Once you see rust its just a matter of time till its not worth putting the $$ into it anymore. I just did the full timing chains, gears and guides and just because I was that far into it an oil pump on the wifes car. It's at 200K and its the Cartier model no rust it's lived its life in NC where we don't really have a salt issue on the roads.

What would bother me about that car is that its sitting too low. On that rust, you need to check the inner metal to see if its rusting from the inside out, if not fix it. On the shifter, simply turn the ignition key halfway on and place in neutral and start the car, as for why its that way, its probably the switch at the transmission causing the issue. As far as the rear bumper cover, why are you even worried about that? As for the exhaust issues , get that fixed completely either yourself or a muffler shop. Also remove that windshield and fix that stupid rust now

Why let it go? Fix everything is the answer. You arent considering the cost of another car and or its problems here which is going to be money either way you go

Or just get a new car that you could just put a down payment on and drive off the lot. Are you sped?? He has put 300k miles, that's mean years of fun..let it rest..
