Unboxings are fine, but I just love plant care. I'm at a point where I don't have room to keep buying. Loving plants in other people's collection is almost as good as having the plant myself, if that makes any sense 😂
I’m so glad you are going to keep your plant channel, so many drop off after Christmas, you are one of my favorites. I like your repot, vlog style and plant chores I don’t really care about unboxing videos that just make me want lol. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
ThankYou for these videos. ❤ I would watch both your channels if you had a second one. Maybe you can also start selling merchandise like shirts with monstera leaves on them. I love plants and cats too and some of the shirts you have on are so cute. You have such a calming way about you and you capture the attention of many viewers. I have been following you for 3 yrs now and have learned a lot from your channel. Merry Christmas Melissa❤
I was watching a few other UA-camrs, planty videos and they were really pushing them out during the summer but most haven't done any videos or posts since summer. I think the second channel would be exciting, I loved watching your nail routine and how you got ready with us and done your makeup, that would be great ideas! Also you could give us a day with Chai, Luna and other kitties, I think you have 3 cats , I'm so sorry! 😊
I have been with the Hobby since the Rage. I have toned back and I still love your Channel, you are up my Alley. I have progressed right along with you.❤
You're disturbing me! Today I have 8 hours of plant chorus behind me and since I always do it in your company, instead I found myself watching you on the screen with a bare roots Alocasia in my hand quite a few times..... Transplanted Alocasias, picked 12 corms, cut Adansonii and transplanted, did a transplant of three Deliciosas, watered the whole collection, preemptively sprayed the collection, quite a day behind me. I love your channel, your dedication and your love for plants. You are a great companion on days like this.
You’re definitely not the type of influencer to push products out to people (which I’m thankful for) but I do find you to be a positive influence on other plants hobbyists because of all the expertise and knowledge you bring to your platform. I’ve personally learned so much from you over the last year! So thank you. I’d definitely follow your other channel, that’d be so cool! Wish you and your shop all the best during this next year 🌱💚
Thank you Tiffany 💕 I appreciate you for being a part of this journey here with me and for all of your support this year and your kind comments and also buying from the shop 🥹🫶
I'm heading in to 2025 with trialing self-watering (just soil, not pon yet) for two different types of plants I have. I'm hoping it'll work out so that I don't have to water as often! And my hoya has new growth, so I'm really happy about that! Merry Christmas to y'all, and "meow meow" from our cat to yours! He loves seeing them in your videos lol.
Thank you for always making informative and interesting videos for us. I will watch whatever content you choose to do because I just like you as a person as well. Hope your hubby likes his new duds! See you tomorrow ❤️💚🐈🐈⬛🐈⬛🌿
I feel like plants need to be something you have loved always to stick with it. I grew up around it because of my parents. Plants can be expensive but I like the fact honestly you can’t really tell as much because the spending is more spread out. Well for me haha! I do photography as well and that right there is expensive compared to plants for me. Haha! Love these vlogs videos btw!
It has been such fun watching you 2024. Just great to have found you on the tube. You have made me smile, reflect and you are an inspiration for many. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I feel ya regarding the plants. I don’t have a lot of plants; I just started collecting in June of this I’ve found doing that what I want and those don’t lol. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Thanks for all your videos! 19:41
🎄🫶🏻 Thank you for another video Melissa! Super excited for what you have in store for us next year & to see other projects/plans/etc. you achieve! You will have our support 100% of the way🫶🏻✨Happy Holidays to you, your Hubby & Luna, Star, & Chai!🐱🎄
Our first cat loved plastic bags! Smooth, crunchy, lightweight, and mailable. - totally fitted the cat toy criteria! One time she poked her head through the handled, freaked out, and zoomed throughout the home! It wasn't super easy rescuing a zooming cat from her curiosity's mistake! After that, we swore off leaving any "bags with handles" out/abandoned. We teased her being "Superkitty" for a while after that incident.
Superkitty LOL. I saw a short form video of a cat doing the same thing zooming with a plastic bag around its head poor thing haha. I usually put up grocery bags right away so I don't think she's really played with them before 😂
Last year, I started my journey with finding fascination, caring for, and loving plants. I actually stumbled upon your account when I got my first Alocasia. Due to you and extensive research (mainly watching all of your Alocasia videos) I haven’t killed one yet (to include the corms I’ve gotten!). I just wanted to tell you that I am grateful for your videos and love your content. I will continue to watch, follow along, and hopefully snag a few beauties during your drops! Good luck next year Melissa and Happy Holidays ☺️💚
I love long form videos the most! And especially chatty ones like this that don't require "watching " because I usually do planty things or clean while I watch UA-cam. But sometimes I click out of the video for one reason or another, but I always try to come back to it and watch it to the end. Can your statistics tell you if someone clicks out during the middle but comes back later?
Maybe it’s you that feel that way. I don’t feel that. I should be particular but I’m watching over 20 UA-camrs. Some make long, fun videos others shorter and quieter, relaxing videos. But I’m still watching
Such a joy to watch as always🫶🏼 I will forever continue watching any of your channels! Even when I get busy I make sure to back and watch the videos I missed haha I wish you blessings for the new year and a Merry Christmas☺️
I really enjoy your channel. I get to see all the different kinds of plants there are. I know I can't get have them all, LOL It's nice seeing how well you take care of them, and glad your shop has been doing well. Good Luck in 2025 .
Love your videos and plant content is my favorite so sad people seem to be losing interest .look forward to another year of your fantastic plant content❤
Happy Holiday🎅🤶 As a new plant parent, I love watching any and all plant video''s that will help me not kill them is very appreciated. So please keep showing yours. Thank you . 😀
I had one plant 7-8 years ago, I had a child. Then when he got older I needed to nurture something as he did his own thing all the time and I had ppd. That became 30 plants quick and I had another child durning Covid. That child loves my plants… but #3 and 70-80 plants. I need to go back down to 30ish and I don’t know how to do that right now. 🤷🏻♀️ they are overwhelming and take up space my kids kinda need. And I feel like I’ve learned what I can learn about it so why watch, so that I said I watch your videos cause your voice is calming and it feels like I have a friend when you tell me how things are going with your plants. That you have plants on your poles and mealybug outbreaks. Not just hey this is what you should do to care for xyz.
Have you considered the impact of holidays (i.e. less time in general for scrolling/watching) and cold weather detering shoppers? Both affect people in my life who run their own businesses.
Good morning, Melissa!! 🔆 I'd love to purchase from your shop one day, you have to be super fast, people buy everything out in seconds. I think you do a wonderful job, 💯 you're also a very kind HUGE hearted person that I enjoy watching everyday! Love every video!
Hi Melissa!! Thank you for sharing your plant knowledge with us 💚 I started my indoor plant collection because of you 🥹🫶🏼 Hope you have a great 2025! Greetings from Lima, Peru 🇵🇪
I have so enjoyed watching your You Tube journey from start to now!! And am so thankful to know you will contunue. I would be interested in your 2nd channel! I know you strive to exercise and improve your healthy lifestyle while being REAL 😂 that would be motivational to incorporate into another channel, i love travel stories also! I look forward to seeing where you take it!! MERRY Christmas and a Blessed New Year!!
Can we still go to the plant shops with you? It's good to see what we might get in our shops in country Australia some year down the track 😂❤ Merry Christmas Melissa ⭐🎄
I would love love love it if you add it to your list of goals to get large form monstera to flower/ fruit since you were able to do it with the Adansonii
Hi Melissa-- I think youre doing a great job with your content. But I also understand your looking at the hobby and wondering if interest is starting to wane. Im a bit older than most of the online plant community and houseplant interest has ebs and flows like everything else. I think the boom we saw during Covid was crazy, but the same interest balooned in the 70's as there was a movement to get back to nature (this is when I was a kid) and again in the early 90s (when I graduated in horticulture/management -- I was a tropical plant sales rep and a green house manager for a time then) and then interest dwindled for quite awhile until COVID. (And I got out of the field entirely, went back to school and became an accountant- Lol) It seems that most ppl in the field fill in those gaps with bedding plants and garden supplies as the interest there seems to fluctuate less and income is more steady (though seasonal, of course). But-- There will always be those committed people that have the steady love and passion for it, that will still be on the look out for another plant to fall in love with, another way to style their plants in their homes, another amazing pot that works perfectly with some treasured plant they have, or some amazing new method to make a plant look its best. Continue to evolve and innovate-- You have a track history of this and are so good at what you present. Hang in there!! There are plenty of people like us that has this running in their blood. (I have plants that Ive had for 30 years... But I was also like a kid in a candy store during Covid when all these new tropicals became so available and mail order plants went crazy. I had ordered orchids and african violets in the mail over yhe years-- but wow, did 2020 open some gates for me!)
I've watched your channel for a long time. You of course control the channel and do what you see is best. My feedback - I tend to swipe past your shorts, I prefer longer videos. Unboxings are not my favorite. I prefer chores, repots, care tips, etc. Wishing you all the best in 2025! ❤
I watch UA-cam every day and will always watch yours and anyone who posts regularly. I watch new Channels as well to help them and support them and I hope they do for me too. We need to stick together!
Maybe because of how the algorithm works, you can create another UA-cam channel that’s just for non-planty content? I do know that UA-cam doesn’t like people really swaying much from their normal content. Lol you just said it , I’d follow. I love watching you.
When you chat and repot, or put up a questionnaire and talk about the questions. That’s always interesting. Exchange the new stuff for the same number and type of clothes that go out to donate if they’re still in a good condition
I dont like short videos. 30 minutes is perfect. Some of your videos I start and come back and finish later. Do you get credit when a person watches part and later finishes it?
Unboxings are fine, but I just love plant care. I'm at a point where I don't have room to keep buying. Loving plants in other people's collection is almost as good as having the plant myself, if that makes any sense 😂
Honestly I find you so relaxing so whatever you posted on here or another channel I'd probably watch haha
Appreciate it!! ❤️
I’m so glad you are going to keep your plant channel, so many drop off after Christmas, you are one of my favorites. I like your repot, vlog style and plant chores I don’t really care about unboxing videos that just make me want lol. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Put in Murphy bed that can lower to the floor. Or stay up and hidden. That way you can still have guests on the odd occasion that they come to stay.
Love ur channel especially repotting and unboxing it’s great and tips that u give to I love all ur content…can’t wait to see what u bring next year.

First one here to comment. Good morning Melissa. I am sitting in the dark watching the morning news and plant videos. I can’t wait to see this one.
good morning Lisa!! 💖
Almost done with the blog as. I’ll miss it when you’re done. It’s become a habit to check each morning for the latest edition.
It's been so much fun doing a vlogmas this year. Thank you for watching them!!

I would love love love it if you add it to your list of goals to get large form monstera to flower/ fruit since you were able to do it with the Adansonii

@plantsbymelissa well you have seen the fruit that they can produce right ? And everyone says it is Deliciosa!!! Pun intended lol
I was waiting for Day 10! I thought you forgot😂
