Awesome a Roomba Vacuum for your pool. 😎
I am amazed that Roomba has never made one themselves, seems like the house one is 90% of the way there
Great review. I like how you advised your followers of the future price increase and potential early bird savings
How long is the cord? I have a 7' deep end, will the cord be long enough so it doesn't drag the battery underwater?
LOL, excellent question. I didn’t even think of that!
The cord is 8 feet long
Nope, my bad I checked the manual it says it’s 9.84 ft long
Interesting. Not sure I see the value in it for smaller pool owners (unless their pool is somewhere without power receptacles)…. But I have a true-L where my corded maytronics bot can’t reach everywhere and I’m sure some lagoon shaped pools have the same issue.
I thought the top part was gonna have a solar panel. I doubt it would be able to charge it completely but every little bit helps. My pool doesn't get that bad so I'll stick with the one I have for now
I agree, that would have been cool to see that on there, maybe extend the run time a bit.
Above ground pool. I have a Hayward Penguin powered by the pool pump.
Works quite well. I don't think they make the Penguin model anymore but they have other characters; they're all the same functionally.
The only thing I lack is a good way to store the hoses flat and straight.
Maybe you can try Cordless one form Aiper, no worriess to storing the hoses.
Pretty cool 🤟🏼🤝🤝
New England Pool open in April?! You're a brave man with the low 30 degree days we've been having. Extra points if you post a video with you diving in. 🥶
What I think is cool add solar panels to the top of the battery that means it can go permanently As long as the sun is out
Nothing is better than a manual vac even a riptide or hammer head with 60 micron bag wont compare. But for convenience these little things work great I have maybe 70 on my route. The pools that have them not only use a little less chemicals each week but the pools are flawless. Run it atleast 3 times a week. One of the biggest advantages to these is they move water in dead spots and kick dirt off the bottom so it can go to the main drain then your filter.
you should try the Seauto Seal SE.
Did you film that this year? If so surprised you opened already. Did you not have a pressure water outlet in your pool? I’ve had a few bots over the years but always come back to the Polaris pressure side cleaner.
Yes, it was 2 weeks ago. It is very early but I really like to get to look at the pool and it gives us a head start. I have also had a pool with the Polaris 360. That was a good little robot and a feat of engineering all powered by water pressure!
@@SilverCymbal yeah me too, always hate covering it up in the fall. Are you just kicking the tires on the Aiper or will that be your go to for the season, or something else? I hope the floating battery means less chord tangling, something that was always a nuisance.
Any idea if the floating battery is super waterproof? I have a spa spillover and don’t want the waterfall to kill the battery. Also how does it do on stairs ?
pool robot is probably the only robot I wanted to be able to plug in because I hate charging batteries even more,
Everyone is different on this. I used to have a pump (water) powered polaris 360 robot I loved and my wife hated the thing in the pool and it was a pain to disconnect. My buddy had a plug in one but he was afraid leaving it plugged in a the time. It really comes down to what you want and fits your needs. I am just happy this one did such a nice job, I tried another cordless last year and it was a joke, ran for an hour and did nothing. This was a nice surprise.
@@SilverCymbal thats right, im sure there are a lot of people want this. my contractor also included one polaris pressure side robot and i just tossed it in the dumpster lol.
“Above ground pool” lol you are not wrong there sir.
Holla your bot for the pool work
0:18 that should be the thumbnail...
Well I guess I'm the only one that enjoys vacuuming pools
699 its a good deal. 1299, not a great price.
I agree, at $699 I like it a lot more. I think they will sell a lot of these. Until it finished I didn't think it would work nearly as well as it did
I’m a month too late on watching your video! It’s now $1399 and sold out
Kickstarter*
I hear ya for sure, at least with this company 100% it will be on Amazon after so if you aren't the kickstarting type, just wait for the full release
1200 bucks eh? I’m good with my pole vac.
